I don't think bully is quite the right term here.

Only women in the shop.

What a horrible thing to do to a small street side hawker who is just trying to make a living. They did not seem in any way to aggravate this foolish man.

if somebody in the west walks in, grabs a bottle, is in the kitchen, and then pours it all into some cooking pot.....oh, that might be a problem.   i think it would be a story.   if in America and they are forced to throw out the food and sanitize the kitchen, that's 5 million USD.   yea, this guy has a few screws loose and should get on TV.

I'm not trying to minimize it, I just don't get why someone would do that.

Just to be an A-hole apparently ?

He posts in Thai not out of relevance, but in the hope someone calls it out as a breach of English-only rules – so he can smugly pounce with, “This is the Thai forum.”

MalcolmB, why have you suddenly started posting in Thai language?  You know that maybe 95% of posters on this forum can't read Thai, so what's the point?

Why do that?

It is extremely strange behaviour - its almost as if he's laughing and thinks its a joke...

Very odd...   but so is digging up these anti-foreigner-stories to trigger a response under the pretence that our 'Thai is being aided'...

i don't understand what is happening in the video. Was he accused of stealing?  At about 1:46- 1:48, it looks like he  gets something from his wallet, maybe a bank note and throws it on the table. before turning to leave.

Does nobody see that the sales woman at the counter is completely ignoring the man, first as he tries to order a water (in Thai), then as he tries to pay for it? She even walks away and shows him her back as he pulls out the money.

It is then that he empties the bottle into the pot, obviously quite triggered by this.

It is idiots like this that get us all a bad name.

If someone thinks that because they saw a drunken tourists acting like an idiot it means that all foreigners are like this, it's really them who has the problem.

Make no mistake: the calculated use of loaded terms like “another bully”, paired with the strategic language choice, is typical textbook trolling with one purpose in mind...

---------

As for the video:

The man’s a drunken fool, plain and simple. He should be held accountable for the damage caused.

Nailed it. A clear pattern can be seen.
