Meanwhile, MCT member Dr Amorn Leelarasamee confirmed that the council would not provide additional documentation requested by Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin, who also serves as the MCT's president. Dr Amorn clarified that all necessary documents had been previously submitted, asserting that the council had ample evidence for its decisions.

ahhhh there is the clincher. they cannot decide without ALL the appropriate documents and now someone is saying they have enough documents. something is definitely fishy and someone is trying to save face for someone else

A group of esteemed senior physicians from Chulalongkorn University has publicly supported the Medical Council of Thailand's (MCT) decision to discipline three doctors involved in issuing questionable medical certificates for former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. These physicians, alumni from Chulalongkorn's 27th medical class, have praised the ruling as both principled and courageous

If the doctors are truly guilty and being held accountable for their actions, then so is Thaksin...

maybe the rumours are true... he's legged it?

did the doctors in question have received an award in one way or another?

unfortunately, i doubt that the full truth will come to light, because pressure is likely being put on various people,

or certain brown envelopes are being promised ...

thailand is rotten to the core!  in every aspect, especially when it comes to covering things up, influence, and money ...

So now if the doctors are guilty  than Thaksin is guilty and can serve his time in jail Right?

Not on your nelly.    Not going to happen .

So the alleged main guy will face little implications of his actions and the Doctors will be the fall guys? Got it.

Naw I think what the ministry wants is to see all the documentation that might come up in Thaksin trial.  You can be guaranteed that the length of their suspensions and whether they will still be able to work will depend on whether they testify at Thaksin trial.

These are the small fish that will lead to the big fish.

BUT

Cue the protests if the Ministry does not agree.

My understanding is Thaskin has been a force for maybe 20 years in Politics.  With his wealth I'm sure he will be afforded be a more lenient outcome

Thaksin has been a thorn and paraih to the country as well.  Every party his money has buit has been found to be illegal.  As to lenient outcome not a chance he has too many elite that he has upset.  The people in power want him out of politics.

They are going to hammer him this time IF HE STAYS IN THAILAND

Declared or found? There is a significant difference.

The establishment simply seems him and his political clan as rivals. As long as he is on the scene they are unable to relax, their cosy monopoly of government and the eye watering wealth it brings them is not secure.

Don't think that this " group of esteemed senior physicians" from Chulalongkorn University" are acting out of concern for medical ethics! They are part of the establishment, Chulalongkorn University is at it's core, and are laying down a marker with the side they think will win.

Does anyone in the right mind believe that these doctors acted without enticement?  A bunch of Thai doctors got together and conspired to keep Thaksin out of the actual prison population out of the goodness of their hearts and compassion for an old, sick elderly man on the edge of death, but Thaksin and none of the Shin Dynasty had anything to do with it?

If you believe that I have a bridge over the River Kwai that I'm selling at bargain basement prices.  Here's the picture.  Call me if you are interested.  It's a blow-out deal!  I'll even throw in 100 whistling Brit POW to do odd-jobs around the bridge.

The key is what the requested documents are...

My wife heard that they included a list of the voting doctors, and how they voted.  Doubt we will ever see that rumor confirmed.
