I've babysat for children a few times. They trusted me, knowing I had children and knew them. It doesn't matter who babysits your child as long as they have been proven before, or you know them well enough to trust them. A teenage girl , who most hire, is usually a good choice but some have proven to be crazies.

 

A lesbian isn't going to target young children unless they are also a pedophile, but being a lesbian doesn't put them into that category. Neither is  a grown man going to target children unless he is also a pedophile, and history has proven that the most likely offenders are step parents or other relatives, who can manipulate easier because a sense of trust is already there.
