No i wasn't arrested. I applied for a e-biz visa which was granted but when i arrived at the airport they check the invitation letter i had submitted and decided it was invalid. Then after a hours of back and forth they rejected me and blacklisted me. I have no idea for how long, probably a year or more.

There is no mark in in pp or anything. Blacklist in India is a secret list but i will show up in the computer if i tried to enter. I think also in Nepal and SL. It means i am basically being watched as a suspicious person.

Karl Rock was blacklisted for 500 days.

Why was Karl Rock blacklisted? He's in India now though. Clearly he doesn't have an issue anymore.

I got blacklisted from India for a minor issue

Others weren't so lucky and had to endure staying in that horrible country.

You won't have any issues with getting a Thai visa or entering Thailand because of your trouble in India, in any case.

He precipitated in some protests i think.   Immigration sort of makes stuff up. They just say your evisa isn't valid or you overstayed.  India government is bit paranoid of foreigners.  Karl paints Indians in a bad light as scammers.  You can see he is always trying to say good things about India in his videos lately.

It is a special taste India, some great places and laid back people who speak English. Serious problems with pollution and rubbish.   It is not so hot like Thailand, has long wide beaches, cool mountain retreats.  A lot things Thailand does not offer.

I think they will definitely share it just to make it their worthwhile. And what's to stop you blowing your visa here?

The kind of visa you want is bound to attract attention.

So IO here will be sniffing around....

Seems you were refused entry.

That does not involve "blacklisted"

You were not even admitted into India.

So what are you asking?

Where are you currently?

What is PP country?

You ask about "nomad visa". Assume you mean DTV.

Depends on if they, the powers that be, in Thailand are having a ' crackdown '  on people blacklisted in India.

Of course not!

Are you making this story up or just winding us all?

No and No.

Indian immigration is a bit difficult. I think they were looking for a bribe

In Thailand, the bribes to enter "hassle fee" are paid through agents - rarely directly to Immigration officials.  This allows them to pretend not to be as corrupt as India, etc.

Details of entry bans and blacklists are not shared between Thailand and India. So long as you don't have a denied entry or blacklisting stamp in your passport, you will have no problems entering Thailand.

They'll see it in your passport.

That's a valid point.  I would get a new passport in such circumstances - when there is anything "bad" in there, which might affect entry into another country.   Per reports that Thai denial-of-entry are often not logged by Immigration (another thread), a new passport could also be useful for these cases.

I may be mistaken, but I am under the impression that Immigration information and even arrests history etc is not shared across countries.

... Thats why Interpol have to issue notices and certain jobs require police clearance certification from our home nations....

... So...   with that in mind - No, Thai Immigration will have no idea (though, my answer is conjecture based solely on that knowledge).

Regularly shared between many countries.  Not sure about India and Thailand, but many others for sure.

well some information is shared.  Just watch those border security tv shows, and often they have or can look up some travel records of some people and see they were refused entry at other countries.  I have no real knowledge of what databases or info

And there's no way of knowing what info is revealed to an immigration officer when he or she swipes the photopage of your passport through a scanner, as seems to be universal practice worldwide these days.
