we all do what we think is best for our self.

Interesting you think I do not know or understand,  anything can happen, and tomorrow a huge rock from outer space wipes out half of the population.

or a solar storm hits the earth, how can you use your coins then? When food and water and other primal needs will be essential for survival.

at least my wife knows how to find food in the jungle, Forrest and water, oysters, shells, snails, frogs, worms, same as me also do have my knowledge to catch and hunt.

This world is overloaded with useless people who lost the reality long time ago, and have no idea what real life is about.

@Yagoda claimed socialism is the enemy, when frankly speaking, humanity have survived because we understood sharing and caring is what gives life and purpose.

I do not say extreme socialism is the answer, and we need a little bit of both, people who are capitalists who are willing to work hard and create solid work, without capitalism we would not had progressed in to what we where.

Discussing Btc is like discussing religion or politics. Either you believe in it or not, while most reminds unsure and sceptical.

where do you believe the future lays?

While we are arguing, China, India Iran, Russia with more buing gold. If you paid attention the last 10 years you would know

Again, you predicting, and believe

With over 36,000 metric tons in reserves—about one-fifth of all the gold ever mined—central banks know something we should too: Gold is the ultimate safety net. Since 2009, these institutions have been net buyers of the precious metal, and in the past decade alone, they’ve scooped up one out of every eight ounces produced globally.

If these guys are loading up on gold, shouldn’t that tell you something about where your own portfolio should be?

While fiat currencies can be printed at will (and we’ve seen plenty of that lately), gold remains a finite resource. I believe that makes it the go-to asset when economic uncertainty rears its head. Countries all over the globe have realized this, and they’ve been buying gold in bulk

Iran bets big on gold as it weathers Trump turmoil

Iran says it has turned much of its reserves into gold, as gold imports soar to three times the level of last year

Do not eat frogs!

You're stuck in the past as we are on the cusp of major technological advancements.

I suppose there might be 2% of people who choose to remove themselves and live off the grid. There's always people like that. I'm too lazy to hunt for frogs. Never hunted in my life. I need to start now?

Also, your thread presupposes sth catastrophic.

Biggest news as far as I can see in 2025 is the release of self-driving cars, which I look forward to. Although I doubt it will be in Thailand any time soon.

No thats why you need to do research. Bitcoin is the only finite asset. China has been too busy trying to ban bitcoin to allow their citizens to catch up to americans. Norway lets you buy as much as you want but you remain ignorant

The biggest threat to me is death caused by old age.

I don't think most people have anything else to worry about either.

End of fiat currency = death

Carrington event = death

Epidemic = death

Thermonuclear war = death

You can have as much gold/money/bitcoin as you like, you ain't gonna escape death!

AI will terminate so many jobs there will be unrest unless everyone gets a basic wage for nothing, which won't happen with tax revenues going down

Not yet. I think in 2030 most white collar jobs will disappear.

But not manual labor because it may take decades to manufacture all the robots to replace manual workers.

Maybe AI agents will be taxed. Or maybe companies with no employees will pay 80 per cent tax to redistribute wealth.

If unemployment rates are too high, the economy will collapse. I don't think the powers that be want that. Not to mention mass riots.

Hopefully there is something not that devastating yet, and you are right, we can’t bring our assets in to the final place, unless you where an ancient chief, king or farao.

There is a fine balance between what is good to physically hold of rare metals, and saving in the bank, as well other productive assets.

We gonna live a little bit to

I wouldn't have mentioned mass riots.  Or ...

Yes, tech will make things better.

Everyone will have a personal R2D2.

But will people still be complaining constantly?

The biggest threats are usually people's inability to be content and appreciate what they have.

who says living off the grid is the future, not me, I’m comfortable with progress, but have productive land who says that will not benefit in the future?

Grab and every other app taxi company will replace their drivers with self driving cars. They making the grid as we speak for self driving cars. Every trip they do is logged in the their system, and make the future solutions.

Btc can never have any  real value people need in their life. You cant eat it, you cant hold it.

We for sure do not know tomorrow, but one thing is 100%

Everything above I mentioned, is the basics needs for having a life, not digital values. Digital art? Land in the digital  simulated world?

We need to remember that bitcoin is not a fiat currency, it is a kleptocurrrency.
Gold, tulips, Hong Kong apartments, have some intrinsic value; bitcoin does not, and no-one claims that it does.

Lots of people will get rich from it.  Many more will get poor.

No, alot of people will keep what theyve saved because of it. Alot more people will see their net worth evaporate

You can big it up all you want, but I'm not buying it from you, and obviously, no-one else is either

We know another crisis coming, some of your investments will vanish, others not, we all know that, but if fiat money fails, there is one thing you have to understand, bitcoin will go down together with fiat money. There is nothing left to support an imaginary value.

There’s two fs in off.

But there's only one f in 'of', so Proton is correct. And by the way, 'There's two'. is also wrong. It should be 'there are two'.
