If I had that much money, I would have hired a group of people to hunt down the names of everyone involved, then systematically pay for their removal from the breathing.

I haven't owned a vehicle in 18 years. Public transit,  bolt and walking are my preferred modes of transport. Liberation from the stresses of vehicle ownership and never looking back. True, there is the convenience and, to some, the status of owning a fancy car but if a person of the opposite sex values prized possessions  ... keeping on walking. You are meant for someone else not me. Just saying.

Don't get how renting it out at £800 a day makes it a good business idea , especially in the UK with the weather. In somewhere like Miami yes but UK 🤔

If rented it out once a week for 5 years then it's paid for , but that is almost impossible business numbers in UK I would say.

Then add depreciation in value of the car and who is going to pay top money to rent a old model car when others have the latest model to rent .

there are a lot of wealthy middle Eastern wealthy visitors where 800 quid a day is peanuts to them

Amazing fee Discover the stolen car after eight years they still cannot find the Red Bull kid who is hiding in plain sight TIT

Who's looking for Boss?  Not the cops.  They've been paid.  Not the family.  They have, too.

The only ones that seem to be interested in finding him are internet posters.

No mention of the corruption that allowed the vehicle to enter in Thailand and to be registered.

Corruption is embraced by all Thai's, thus it isn't a crime, unless you step on the wrong persons toes or refuse to pay forward.

I can understand why hungry people steal. I can understand why drug addicts steal. But I can't understand why wealthy people (who run criminal gangs) steal. To amass more money than they could spend in their lifetime, more cars, more houses, more jewellry, more gold, etc.? When they die and have their Life Review, they will see everything they did, and hear the thoughts and feel the feelings of sorrow, pain, anger, etc. of their victims. People who have a Near-Death Experience talk about the awful regret and sadness they feel when they have a Life Review, and this makes them change their behaviour when they return to their body.

I have seen on the Thai News over the years I've been here how cheap it is to do that. Hitmen caught say they did it for as little as 5,000 Baht, though 10,000 to 20,000 Baht is more common.

That's why you are not an entrepreneur too

They slapped him with a 30yr jail sentence.

Here is the thread from 2023.

https://aseannow.com/topic/1304589-30-year-sentence-for-boy-unity-false-pricing-of-imported-lamborghini-cars-revealed/

According to your source:

'Boy Unity and Yung Sri Anan were sentenced to 6 years imprisonment each'

I expect the total of all sentences might have been 30 years.  Sloppy journalism.

Yeah but they usually ship their own cars to UK for a few weeks to drive.

Because some of them (like the guy in this article) became wealthy by stealing. Why would they stop when its what made them wealthy in the first place?

2nd video about the range extender for keyless entry.

Long known and still manufacturers can come through with this insecure stuff.

All that just to save pushing a button on the fob.

My new Toyota has this too.

Fortunately there is a not too difficult trick to deactivate the key transmitter temporarily.

For other models things like a metallic box for the fob recommended. How silly.

I remember watching his video about this six months ago.

What happened when they found the car at a Bangkok car dealer will not really surprise anyone.

It's a good video if you have the time.

Thanks for posting this, it was a good watch.

Insurance paid already probably

If you watch the video it explains why they never made an insurance claim, but in essence because they were a new business, it would have cost them more in increased premiums than to make a claim, so no claim was ever made.

I wonder how many Thai Govt Officials who were involved in the import and registration of this car have also been prosecuted alongside 'Boy Unity'.

None as usual 🤷🏼

Yes, the new car is in the garage.

If the insurance company paid the victim for his stolen vehicle then the insurance company owns the vehicle. The original owner can buy the vehicle back from the insurance company …
