Popular Post webfact Posted Wednesday at 08:48 PM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 08:48 PM Picture courtesy of Siam Rath Under the leadership of Police General Surachate Hakparn, the Southern People's Association, along with allied networks, delivered 1,000 bags of rice and 1,000 packs of drinking water to soldiers stationed at the Prasat Ta Muen Thom operations base in Surin province. The donation aims to support troops from the 21st Infantry Battalion, represented by Lieutenant Colonel Jakkrit Piyasubharerk. In addition to essential supplies, the organisation presented amulets to boost morale among the military personnel. The gesture was part of a broader community effort, with locals bringing non-perishable food and other essentials to support the soldiers. Residents and local leaders near the border village have constructed bunkers in key areas such as schools and temples, demonstrating the need for continued support, especially sandbags and cement pipes, to enhance shelter facilities. Picture courtesy of Siam Rath General Surachate encouraged Thai citizens nationwide to support the soldiers in their mission to protect the country's sovereignty. The association continues to monitor the situation closely and urges the public to stay informed via its official page or direct contact. Despite tensions, the area has seen an increase in visitors, reflecting public confidence in the military presence and community safety, with current daily arrivals peaking at 500 individuals, up from 20 on previous days. Neighboring provinces are Buriram, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, and Sisaket. To the south it borders Oddar Meancheay of Cambodia." What's the threat to Thai sovereignty? Just the drum beat to Thai nationalism?
spidermike007 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Who? Oh him. One might have thought he would have been imprisoned by now but we all knew from the very beginning that the authorities weren't serious about going after him. In my mind he was as guilty as the day is long, after all he was the ex Deputy National Police Chief, that says it all. 1 1

But it does seem to be the polite custom in Thailand to keep referring to people who have retired from service, or in his case booted out, with their prior official titles...
