According to the latest available Census data, the state’s poverty rate increased to 18.9% in 2023, up from 16.4% in 2022 and 11.0% in 2021. The state’s poverty rate was particularly high among Black and Latino Californians and higher than the 2019 pre-pandemic numbers." From your link, 2023: both links point to articles that claim to use the Census data but somehow arrive at much different figures. I trust the US Census Bureau above all others. 1

In any event, per your link, California, the bluest, richest state in the county has one of the highest poverty rates in the country, Higher than any other blue state, and most all read states.

Who funds the Pride parades? We know that the 14 June parade is a 100% tax dollar funded event. 1 4 1

It is 100% funded by employment taxes which are collected by the US government but then set aside in the Social Security trust funds for expenditure solely by SSA. No other federal revenue flows to the Social Security system. It’s a federal tax. 2 1

The U.S. National Debt is clearly not high enough, Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ increases the debt ceiling by $Trillions. The long paraded Republican aversion to national debt has evaporated. 1 1 1

In actuality the FICA 'tax' is more akin to a forced contribution to an inflation adjusted lifetime annuity. Your FICA 'tax' is not spent outside of SSA benefits.

scorecard Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago "I have to go through hell to get stuff approved......" That's not what kings do. e.g. Does Prince Charles do that? NO. And there's many more examples. "I have to go through hell to get stuff approved......" is dictator talk. 1 1

So basically, the taxpayers... But in the case of the Military parades, it's out in the open. Transparent. In the Pride parades, it's covert. 1 1

Organizers say the event will span more than 1,900 gatherings across nearly 1,800 cities in all 50 U.S. states and territories, with additional international rallies planned in countries like Colombia, Malawi, Italy, Portugal, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Wait for State visit II then. It’ll be mayhem! What a douche of Starmer putting Charlie on the spot like that.
