Gunman Opens Fire on ‘No Kings’ Protest in Salt Lake City
If randomly shooting into a peaceful crowd then I agree. If that crowd is a mob e.g. trying to overthrow the government and chant about hanging people then I say let loose with all you've got. -

Report Bangkok Police Arrest Couple in Nonthaburi for Possession of 600,000 Meth Pills
Picture courtesy of CK News In a significant drug bust, Bangkok police apprehended a couple in Nonthaburi after discovering 600,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in a rented room. The operation, led by Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom and senior officers from various divisions, took place on June 13 in Sai Yai subdistrict. The suspects, 39-year-old Boy and 25-year-old Tassanee, were caught with nine cardboard boxes filled with meth pills, alongside a firearm and ammunition. The police also seized three vehicles—a Toyota Yaris, a Toyota Yaris Ativ, and a Honda Civic—as well as six mobile phones and a Sig 320sp gun with 40 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Acting on intelligence from the Crime Suppression Division, officers had surveilled the suspects' movements, suspecting drug storage in the rented rooms. The arrest was made after observing Boy leaving the room late at night. A subsequent search revealed the concealed drugs and the firearm hidden in the Honda Civic. During police questioning, Boy claimed to be a courier delivering three sacks of methamphetamine, each containing 200,000 pills, from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. He stated he was paid 2,000 baht per sack for the transport. Despite his claim, the police remain sceptical, suspecting the stash was intended for sale rather than just transportation. Tassanee, who works as a betel nut seller and reportedly isn't a drug user, was informed of her rights during the arrest. Both suspects have been taken to the Crime Suppression Division for further questioning. Initial charges have been filed by the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, and the pair is now facing legal proceedings. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Thai authorities to crack down on drug trafficking networks, reflecting their commitment to dismantling major supply chains and preventing drug distribution across the region. Travelling during Iran Israel crisis to and from Europe.
FYI, many Emirates nighttime departing flights between DXB and BKK are being held in DXB at the gate for 3 ~ 4 hours, preferring to fly in daylight (some are saying). Friends on EK 384 (16 June) were held at DXB for 4:25, pushing arrival from 12:30 to 16:47. Their CDG-DXB flight was + 1:10 owing, in part, to extended routing. I checked quite a few other DXB-BKK flights. All delayed in the 3 + hour range.
