Actually I just did a small transfer of 1K to Krungsri to test - and Wise 'said' it would be there now/today.

I will check the balance after lunch and see if that is the case.

I wonder if the amount is the issue - or the Bank - or both.

There is a reporting issue with transfers over 10K - perhaps that is the problem? 

 

Thanks for the tip - will check again when these current transfers are over and ready for another 10K transfer.

@hotandsticky  You were right - the problem is Bangkok Bank. Krungsri did the transfer immediately.

 

Unless of course the delay is caused because the amount was over 10K.

I recently used Remitly.. Works fine within the same day, only the rate is a bit lower, compared with Wise about 200 THB for about 1000 euro

The issue is with Bangkok Bank, but it's been well reported recently and looks like it will be the standard process going forward.  Transfers initiated after about 10:00am will reach accounts shortly after 2:00pm on the next working day.  Before that time will be shortly after 2:00pm on the same day.

Indeed the Bangkok Bank, as today I made a transfer to Kasikornbank and it arrived within seconds... Same holidays, same transfer only a different Bank.  Bangkok Bank would arrive on Friday btw.
