We don’t even bother to make a special time/trip for the 90-day. We just stop by the drive-up window when passing by. Simply not a problem.

there's also the 'all in one' govt services in some malls.  Hard to believe people think 90 day pulse check is a big inconvenience.

This is not complaining but rather telling/asking immigration to develop systems that work and also have a point.

What does 90 day reporting actually achieve.

The same could be said about TM30.

Answer: NOTHING.

No argument here, and I simply accept the silliness, as it's voluntary to be here.   Those venting, should try venting elsewhere, as useless to vent here.  Nobody here cares or can help.

now immigration send email so you now when to do

an appointment,

I got caught out with that one last year. When the emails came through I did the reports, untill one time they didn't send it so I was late. I then couldn't do it online the next time due to system issues. I now have left the country twice since, so I'll have to do it in person again.

My main point though was don't rely on the email, as it may not come. If youre a busy person, it's so easy to forget.

With some folks banging on about mowing their own lawns or "making a day of it" in reference to in person reporting or pointing out their immigration has drive through option.

That's something that comes through loud and clear if you follow enough visa/extension threads.  YMMV.  Depending on where you live, which office (and which IO) you deal with, what kind of extension, whether they're "encouraging" the use of agents, etc.

Not bragging, ok? I'm guess I'm lucky that after being in Thailand for so long I have people that take care of my immigration needs' (in my case i get for free for because that someone is an acquaintance of mine) after enduring many years going to the immigration in Chang Wattana.

It's real but I guess I have earned that fair and square.

I am on a retirement extension and have been for many years.

Jomtien is my local office and I do my own yearly extension and 90 day reports.

I have never had a problem with them, sure I have to go back the next day to pick up my passport, well boohoo.

I am retired and have all the time in the world to jump through the hoops once a year.

If you are from Europe, don't you wish your country  had done this to migrants 50 years ago.

Thailand is protecting it's own people, good for them.

Stop complaining and treat it as a day out...

Great post and right on target. Immigration has bever been a problem and you are right about the day out. On the rare occasions I have to report in person, it is an excuse to visit the city.

One the wall where I get my breakfast ,I have a large calendrer, and on it days that

I have to do 90 day reports, extensions , Birthdays ,and all other important dates on

so I dont forget anything , and I don't want to pay the 2K fine for not reporting

sure I could use a smart phone ,but I dont have one, a wall calendrer ,the battery

never goes flat ,crash or get a virus.....
