Looking for Affordable ED Visa School – 2nd Time Applying (Need Cheaper Option)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in Thailand on a tourist visa and I'm looking to apply for an ED (Education) visa for the second time.
I already completed a 1-year student visa before, but this time I’m trying to find a more affordable option.

Last time I paid 52K THB, which is way too much for me now.
I'm hoping to find something cheaper, ideally under 20K THB if possible.

I'm open to any kind of course — Thai, English, Chinese, or anything else — I’m not focused on the subject, just looking for the cheapest legitimate option to stay in the country legally.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

 

1. 🏫 Cheapest ED visa school available right now (online preferred).

2. 💳 Any schools that allow installment payments instead of full upfront fees?

3. 🧑‍💻 I’d prefer a program that includes online or hybrid classes, with minimal in-person attendance.

4. 📍 Can I do the 90-day extension stamps at any immigration office, or does it need to be where the school is registered?

5. 🚫 Most importantly, I’d like to do the entire process from inside Thailand without having to leave the country for a new visa.
    

If anyone has done this recently or knows any schools offering good deals or flexibility, please let me know! I’d really appreciate any recommendations or tips 🙏

Wasn't your previous thread about refused entry and asking about safe airport entry.

Go home and obtain a DTV .

Hey, just to clarify — I'm using my account to help other people, not asking for myself.
This isn’t about the same person or case you’ve replied to before on the FTV post.
It’s a different situation, different people — I just try to speak in first person when asking so the answers are more direct and easier for them to follow.

I'm not trying to mislead anyone or push any agenda.
Just trying to help folks who aren’t in the forum or don't feel comfortable posting themselves.

If you find that pathetic, that’s your take — no hard feelings.
Honestly, I have no clue how it could come across that way, but I get that everyone has their own standards for what’s credible.
Appreciate the space regardless.

Maybe try to get a gig as a comedian, but please don't forget to get a proper visa and work permit if you wish to pursue this. 

 

As to your OP, that sounds completely unrealistic. It will cost you a lot more than 20k especially if you want to have the initial Non-Ed visa issued locally.

It sounds like immigration officers don't really like ED visas😏. They often like to deny foreigners that have had this type of visa🥱
And it's very expensive by the way. Honestly, i don't think it's worth it

The OP should have updated previous thread on their result on the person getting in or not on fast track after members helped them on this thread....

 

Just basic reciprocal etiquette on people bothering to advise as it fills the info in for future peoole with the problem to a degree.

METV gets a day under 9 months for significantly less money.

costs do add up.  sometimes you pay immigation for the visa, not cheap. then a few thousand every three months.  I'd guess about 55k for a year is the cheapest for everything.  there has to be better options for someone not serious about Thai.  

 

maybe try some Muay Thai school.   ask if it's online.  lol

Multiple reports of people getting hassled at on their 2nd entry with METV if they did the 60+30 and left and returned.  A tourist is a tourist, whether you are visa exempt or tourist visa, and immigration does not like serial tourist entries.

Specifically by air and BKK 2 int. airports will be the hassle point...only heard one recent bit of low friction at Chiang Mai airport. By land and METV I'd be surprised if there were issues unless you know better.
