Thai/Cambodia border open?

Featured Replies

Hi, can someone tell me if busses are running Bangkok to Siem Reap? It's difficult to get unto date info on borders opening/closing.

I believe flights have started again, right?

Thanks any info

A mate is in Cambodia just now - he flew there last week - and I've just asked him.  He said he asked the bus company yesterday and was told it's still shut.

The Thai-Cambodian border will be shut for a LONG time to come. There is no word on when it might re-open. I wouldn't be planning on crossing it anymore this year. Some cryptic signs it might be closed for another year are appearing on/off on Google Maps. Suggestions the roads leading up to the border crossings will be closed until June 2026. Not sure what to make of that, but until tensions are significantly eased, I don't see the borders re-opening. PTT Cambodia is already about to change brands to PPC (Peace Petroleum Cambodia). The implications for Thai businesses in Cambodia is not good.
