I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be one of the people pointing out or complaining about other people ruining the internet and posting toxic content.

It was your posts I had in mind when I posted it...

It's much worse than that, the AI models are fed with carefully curated content that is meant not to offend anybody, plain vanilla, inoffensive word porridge. If there is even a hint of a possibility that a fact could upset anyone it is deemed "harmful" and not included in the AI model.

Pretty soon everyone in the world will have a plain vanilla version of the world, carefully curated not to offend Americans.

Did you see the Biden EO on AI?

Wow, AI is to advance "civil rights". i had no idea the castration of AI was mandated at the highest political level. I thought it was just the companies trying not to offend anybody. But yah, this is interesting. So AI is meant not to offend anybody and to please everybody. By excluding harmful content.

Such a shame. the potential it could have had, had it been allowed to offend people.

I suppose you still believe in "2 weeks to flatten the curve" and "Get the vaccine and you can't infect grandma", and "There is no evidence of side effects", and "If you get the vaccine, you won't get Covid"?

All of those statements (and many others) have been proven false.  But if anyone claimed they were false, that was called "misinformation," and they were squelched and deplatformed.

True. The Covid narrative was highly skewed and never made sense. But, disagreeing with it was highly discouraged and obedience to the WHO, the CDC, the FDA, and Big Pharma was insisted upon. It felt like a form of fascism.

Absolutely

Still about a dozen on this forum under a few dozen usernames that can't accept reality and daily if not hourly if not minute by minute post inaccuracies, distortions and outright lies

Funny thing is that it changes no opinion on this forum nor anywhere else. The effort is in fact a total waste of time and a waste of their lives. Nevertheless, they have no lie and so this is what they habitually do because they are too brain dead to do much of anything else especially anything that is productive

Would disagree as Google clearly filters and blocks some information.

As does Facebook, YouTube and even aseannow.

What in particular are you referring too? Blocked from where? This is a very general question. Google provides a great many services. If you want in depth information read Google Terms of Use Documentation. Here's a summary below.

Now if you choose to believe "conspiracies" and are the kind of person that mistrusts organizations, Government, Doctors, Science and the like than I have nothing for you. I have no "inside" information. But what I will tell you is that I know quite a few people who work for Google and it would be pretty difficult to cover up some kind of covert information "filtering" as too many employees are invovled in serving up content from the great many platforms that Google runs and supports.

Here's a breakdown of how Google addresses content filtering and moderation:

1. Content Policies and Guidelines:

  • Prohibited and Restricted Content: Google has detailed policies outlining content that is not allowed. These often fall under categories such as:

    • Inappropriate Content: This includes sexually explicit content, child sexual abuse imagery, graphic violence, hate speech, harassment, self-harm promotion, and shocking content.

    • Illegal Content: Content promoting illegal activities, products, or services (e.g., illegal drugs, human trafficking).

    • Deceptive Content & Behavior: Misinformation, impersonation, fake engagement, and content designed to mislead users (e.g., scams, fraudulent information).

    • Dangerous Content: Content that could directly facilitate serious and immediate harm to people or animals.

    • Copyright and Intellectual Property Violations.

  • Product-Specific Policies: While general policies exist, specific Google products (like YouTube, Google Search, Google Ads, and Google Maps) have their own nuanced content policies tailored to their unique functions and user experiences. For instance, YouTube has Community Guidelines, and Google Search has "Spam Policies for Google Web Search."

The Guardian says a few people are ruining the internet and you believe it?
