Trump Goes Off On His Own MAGA Base: 'I Don’t Want Their Support Anymore!'

If it was evidence seized by the DOJ and in their possession....yes.....just as the hours and hours of video seized have never been seen.......but if someone has access and is prepared to leak the vidoes as they have done with this letter......then we'll see those too.

Ask yourself......why would the WSJ, knowing this is a staggeringly sensitive document, risk being sued to the ends of the earth unless they, at least, were convinced it was 'real'.

I doubt they care about being sued, same ABC didnt, if prison was a result then they might think twice, money doesnt matter, they will earn more for the traffic this BS brings in

Trump needs to direct Bondi to open up an investigation into the authoring of all these fake files and videos.....no way should Obama be allowed to get away with this.

  • Given a choice, they probably prefer it to Incels or Onanists.

  • He's now calling his MAGA fans "weaklings"!   MAGAs, how do you feel being called weaklings?

Come on will, i had you down for more savvy than that, all these years  of hounding trump, trying to get him off the ballot, jail him, and all of a sudden this just pops up out of thin air.

I agree.....there must be a ton of stuff waiting to come out.....all in the timing, someone suddenly gaining access, someone brave/stupid enough to steal or leak stuff?......I think it is probably down to an individual......if it was orchestrated "by the Dems"...it seems a very odd thing to do......leaking one personal, albeit creepy, letter.

You may well be correct in those monetary terms....but in reputational terms, I can't for the life of me think they would go down this route in such a gung-ho fashion.

WSJ

The editorial and opinion pages have a distinct conservative ideology, often sharply critical of Democrats, unions, and environmental regulation.

Sometimes accused of mixing partisan spin with speculation, which can contrast with the more neutral tone of the news desk.

Why do you think Dems have or did have this letter?

It was from evidence seized and held by the DOJ and was part of a leather bound folio present to Epstein from Maxwell.

It certainly looks like someone who had access to it has sold it/given it to the WSJ........but that doesn't make it fake.

Pretty sure the WSJ, familiar with people wanting to sue it at every opportunity will have looked carefully at its provenance and authenticity.

Let's see if Trump follows through with his threats to sue.

The WSJ is owned  by the same people that own Fox News I believe. Didn't they used to do everything they could to make Trump look good?

As for suing, I doubt it as way too much that Trump doesn't want out would get out. The threat is just more noise from Trump to placate his mentally challenged worshippers like frank.

The bright note re: suing, it will keep this topic live and the eye of the news reader for months and months.

The problem with lying is that sooner or later it's going to catch up with you. Trump lies so much he can't even keep up with his own lies. At this point he's in very very deep doo doo, as the podcasters are not going to let this go, since it's raising their viewership, and a lot of MAGA supporters don't know what to do, and have gone mysteriously quiet over this.

There is a great amount of descent within the ranks at this point and the GOP does not really know how to handle this other than to say that the files should be released. They are very unaccustomed to showing dissent and disobeying their political master.

Trump loyalist Mike Johnson, called for the release of all documents relating to the late financier, a convicted sex offender and longtime former friend of Trump’s, rebellion continued to simmer within the president’s normally diehard base.

Trump’s former vice-president, Mike Pence, told CBS News on Wednesday that “I think the time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation and prosecution”, while the conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, a frequent close adviser to Trump, called for the appointment of a special counsel to handle the Epstein files investigation. “Obviously, this is not a complete hoax given the fact that [Epstein associate] Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving 20 years in prison in Florida for her crimes and activities with Jeffrey Epstein, who we know is a convicted sexual predator,” she said.

Close to seven in 10 Americans in a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll said details around Epstein were being concealed. Sixty-nine per cent said they believed there had been concealment of facts on Epstein’s clients by the federal government, with close to 25% unsure whether facts had been concealed, according to the poll.

In an interview with Real America’s Voice, the far-right network created to host Steve Bannon’s podcast, Donald Trump said that the FBI should investigate what he called “the Jeffrey Epstein hoax” as part of a criminal conspiracy against him.

In a series of posts on his social media platform X, Elon Musk mocked Trump’s wild claim that files related to the federal investigation of Epstein, the late sex offender and longtime Trump friend, are “a hoax”.

But what makes Trump’s use of the phrase “Jeffrey Epstein hoax” deeply confusing is that, without any further explanation, he appears to be suggesting that the entire furore over Epstein’s crimes was somehow fabricated. That’s what prompted Elon Musk to ask on Wednesday why Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell “is in federal prison for a hoax”.

But what Trump seems to be getting at, without saying so explicitly, is that there are mentions of him in the Epstein files, which would make sense, given that Trump himself told New York magazine in 2002 that they had been friends for years and that he was aware that Epstein was attracted to young women. “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump said. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side”.

But Trump appears to be arguing, without acknowledging that there are mentions of him in the files, that any such documents are fakes, planted there by his political enemies, making the whole affair, like all evidence that Russia did work to get him elected in 2016, and that he lost the 2020 election fair and square, “a Democrat hoax”.

Agree....probably an individual on the make......or a staggeringly, naive and pathetic forgery

frank...are you really this obtuse? The fact is that it entangles people on both sides of the fence. Your sycophancy seems to know no bounds. It's cringeworthy. Embarrassing. Stop it. Try to regain some balance in your life.

The world isn't split into two teams. That's just some weird partition in your head.

Sing to the tune of "Everybody Knows" by Leonard Cohan.

First verse is original:

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows the files are buried,
Bondi’s DOJ, the truth they parried.
Everybody knows the promise broke,
Trump called release, then named it hoax.
Everybody knows the girls still weep,
Victims’ scars run raw and deep.
That’s how it goes,
Everybody knows.

Everybody knows his base is fraying,
Insults fly, their trust decaying.
Everybody knows Epstein’s shade,
Maxwell’s role, the games they played.
Everybody knows the young were used,
Justice dodged, their pain abused.
That’s how it goes,
Everybody knows.

Everybody knows the files stay shut,
Bondi’s hand, the final cut.
Everybody knows he swore to free,
Yet hoax he cries, for all to see.
Everybody knows the victims wait,
Silenced still, by power’s gate.
That’s how it goes,
Everybody knows.

You are quite correct in saying that I don't like those guys and I do consider them losers, however I'm just referencing them because the base seems to really like them and consider them heroes. And they are speaking out against the master which is quite rare.

So he's your kinda guy.

Interesting report from Murdoch’s own Wall Street Journal today....

In 2003, Ghislaine Maxwell compiled a leather-bound birthday album for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th. One note was from Donald Trump. It read:

“Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

“We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.”

According to the WSJ, “two people who reviewed the items while helping federal authorities” described the contents, and “the materials were reviewed by investigators at the Justice Department and FBI.”

The album likely came into federal custody during Trump’s first term, in the 2019 Epstein investigation, when authorities seized documents from Epstein’s New York townhouse.

Trump shot back: “This is a totally made-up story... it’s fake news, and the people pushing it are going to be sued.”

He’s now threatening lawsuits — against the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch, and possibly even his own DOJ.

He’s floundering like a harpooned, beached whale — as his secrets are flensed, one greasy layer of blubber at a time.

But they were just Trump's enablers and sycophants. Now they're having second thoughts, but not about the righteous path America needs to follow. They're having second thoughts about who's leading the way.

Who are "you guys", frank? What have you seen me post?

Are you suggesting that no one should scrutinise the behaviour of the POTUS? Any you completely deranged? That would be the norm.

NYTimes snippet from 30 MAY:

Still, Mr. Trump’s tirade strained an already uneasy relationship with traditional legal conservatives.

Many share the president’s goals of strengthening border security, curbing the administrative state and ending “diversity, equity and inclusion” programs, said John Yoo, a * conservative law professor. But, he added, they dislike some of Mr. Trump’s methods, whether that is prolifically invoking emergency powers or insulting judges who rule against his administration.

The Epstein Letter, from the WSJ scoop, is creepy, and skeevy AF, and a bit incriminating but it isn't as bad as I was expecting.

It certainly didn't deserve the TruthBomb, which only makes him look even more mentally unstable.

Just enough to keep the Epstein affair burning, I guess.

I think we should see the entire book, which Ghislane had bound, including trump's drawing of a naked woman.

Given trump's panic, one can only imagine what he knows is still to be made public. And if there are photos and videos of trump sexually assaulting a minor, even the most rabid in his cult will have to slink back into the muck.

trumpepsteinletter.jpg

I'm sure the rabid base, the ever-Trumpers, some of who are present on this forum will just scream "fake" and go on supporting him. They're a cult, and cult members rarely renounce their deity.

There are just as many senior Democrats that participated in the Epstein pleasure island too and that is why no guilty senior folks want it released totally! IMHO anyway

In your dreams.

Political analysts go over every election in great detail.  Trump had an incredible hold on, inter alia, non-college educated older white males, QAnon fans, Incels, white supremacists, Neo Nazis, and conspiracy theorists.

Red States lead the US in being parasitic in terms of receipt of Federal Funds, whereas Blue States are net contributors to the Federal Budget, with CA being the largest.

Red States also lead in terms of per capita receipt of Social Security Disability Insurance, SNAP and per capita deaths from Fentanyl. His rallies are filled with Carnival People and other losers.

The folks I've seen in Thailand wearing those Chinese-made silly red hats with his slogan on it tend toward morbid obesity, appear to be drunk most of the time, and wear the same outfits one sees on little kids in Isaan. Maybe they added a few Maori Warrior tatts thinking that makes them a babe magnet, but they would have been much wiser to have spent the money on a gym membership. With those tatts they just look like the losers they are. I think most do their shopping at Mike's Shopping Mall in Pattaya. For their main squeeze, it seems most---if they favor females and not ladyboys---go for the post-menopausal mother-of-five (via five different men) they picked up in a beer bar.

The horror!

Things are not going the right way for Trump. Dangerous times for him.

‘Very Dangerous Moment’ for Trump Now That MAGA Sees He’s Taking Them for ‘Fools’

https://www.yahoo.com/news/very-dangerous-moment-trump-now-125007811.html

"President Donald Trump has forgotten amid the Jeffrey Epstein maelstrom that his base owns him and not the other way around, according to legendary journalist Tina Brown.

The long-time media powerbroker and Daily Beast founding editor told The Daily Beast Podcast that Trump’s response to MAGA’s fury has only served to alienate him from some of his most ardent supporters.

“It was like he’s forgetting who owns him, right?” said Brown, who first met Trump and Epstein when they were all at the center of the New York social scene in the 1980s and 1990s. “And he’s mad as hell now because they’re supposed to be owned by him.”"
