A 19-year-old female student from a well-known university in Nakhon Ratchasima province, survived a fall from the fifth floor of a faculty building on the morning of 21 July.

At approximately 08:30, police officers from Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station, led by Pol. Col. Sutthinan Khongchaemdee, and emergency rescue volunteers from Sawang Metta Korat Foundation, were dispatched to the university’s Faculty of Business Administration following reports of a person falling from a building.

The student, identified only as Ms A, is a second-year undergraduate in the Faculty of Business Administration, majoring in Management. She was discovered conscious on the grassy area beneath the building’s northern side. Witnesses said she cried out, “Water, please,” and attempted to sit up despite her injuries.

First responders administered initial aid at the scene, noting a visibly broken leg and signs of chest trauma. She was swiftly transported to Maharaj Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima for further medical treatment.

According to her classmates, Ms A had a history of depression and had previously undergone treatment. Moments before the incident, she was reportedly seen climbing over the fifth-floor balcony before jumping.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and the university has not yet issued an official statement.
