Good morning Khao. I never mentioned my PC not booting or my suffering from Paranoia.

You CANNOT have an SSD HDD, it is one or the other.

I re-installed W11 on three PCs last month, two of them using the Rufus bypass method. All working perfectly and one is 20% faster as it has Ryzen 7/32 GB RAM and not i3/16GB. All have M2s and Samsung 1TB SSDs.

HDDs are better for back-ups.

About once a week I run DISM and SFC commands on an elevated command prompt like this:

 

1) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

2) sfc /scannow

 

this usually gets rid of any corruption that may have occurred.

right-click Command Prompt, choose Run as Administrator, copy and paste the first line into the command prompt and enter. After it is done, do the second one.

It's a good housekeeping practice.

To add to my above...

 

May be additional settings in Device Manager related to HW and or any modem software. See these are current with latest drivers. You must be in admin mode to make changes

 

First look at router / modem. Update devices

 

Check Storage settings

 

Look to see no !! if so not related to anything that might cause the sleep issue.

 

To me ... Sounds like it's Hibernate. PCs having difficult time coming out if hibernate mode. Also, could be sleep setting battery easier fix so look their first

 

To delete hibernate file and save massive amount storage search the internet. It's easy.

This is definitely a good trick. SFC runs fast on newish computer. Would only recommend every so often, certainly not 1x a week.

 

Also, especially if you still have old HDD see it's optimized . Note this has nothing to do with the OP issue

Right. Whatever. You are correct. I'm using speech to text a d often don't go back to clean up the text.

 

If you bypassed tpm your days are numbered.

 

I just use old HDD for backups. Waste of money to buy new. Odds of your data + backup data both losing access to data at same time are less than zero. Think about it

My first TPM bypass was by altering the Registry 4 years ago before using Rufus. All good up to now. What can go wrong please?

Dont sleep on your desktop, try a bed.

Go into CONTROL PANEL, Power Options and set Screen and System to Shut Down as and when you think you need to. Can also be done in START, Settings, System, Power, to do the same thing. Mine are set to NEVER. 

Because  in SETTINGS, Windows Update, Advanced Options, Active Hours, you can tell Mr PC when to kip or wake up. Why mine suggests 3am to 20pm I do not know as I have set it to 8am to 17pm

What can go wrong? Microsoft can close that loophole that allows you to bypass tpm (as it had). Most assuredly won't allow bypass on 12.

 

If your copy windows isn't clean and from say installer disk you probably installed malware as well.

Just turn all this off.

But I still think these computers are having problems coming out of sleep state -

1 hibernate mode

2 modem sleep/ wake

 

 

My Windows 11 does a similar thing after a sleep. I lose wifi and bluetooth. 

It has been there it seems like for a few years at the least. 

I have to go into Device Manager and scan for hardware changes. When it is not working, I don't see anything under Bluetooth.  Turn off Bluetooth, update or remove the driver. Turn off the computer then restart it. 
A long term fix is to go under power management settings under Bluetooth with a right click. Click  "all computer to turn off device to save power".  I wrote this down not verbatim, so you will have to do some hunting and pecking, or a Google search.

That is exactly as I did, but as I said, I then had difficulty getting my internet back. So now I just shut it down every night. Problem solved.

This is more or less what I recommended. Fast startup is hibernate. Eliminating hibernate and its file will free up disk space and potentially eliminate that issue but it brings you back to the old days of start. That means waiting the better part of 2 minutes for the bloody thing to boot

WHY on sleep?? Lol! The PC do not need to sleep....you do! Ok...best thing to do is to shut it down the PC and stop all functions from running. Then start it FRESH next morning.

Seems like my Win 10 is 40% slower after Norton 360 did a major upgrade a couple of months ago.   One day I will stop being lazy and switch to a new virus/vpn/computer protection software.   

 

Their VPN also slows down internet downloads, at least on my Lenovo IdeaPad Flex, U.S. of A. version.

I've had same issue with Dell (AIO) losing internet connectivity and also stored passwords disappear.  So far, a simple restart has corrected the problem.

Mint is what I have on my laptop and desktop. Easy installation, trouble-free.

 

Haphazard updates? They sit there until one finds the time to install them. Polite, they don't seize control of your computer.

 

No apps? I have LibreOffice, Bitwarden, OpenShot , Solitaire on mine. The Software Manager has oodles of apps.

MS Defender is fine. Lightweight as well.

A HDD is the old spinning Hard Drive which will break if dropped. An SSD is a SOLID STATE DRIVE, like your USB drive chips, so you sHOULD care or you will HAVE to buy new disks.

Triumph made much faster motorbikes than Norton.

My computer has a similar problem. Can't recall when it started. May have been after changing the damaged HDD for a SSD or possibly after updating to Win 11. As soon as the computer goes into sleep mode the WiFi turns off, when you come out of sleep mode the WiFi reconnects. Only really a problem if I am downloading a large file overnight. Unchecked the "allow computer to turn off device" box in power management but still the same. Will change settings so that the screen turns off but computer doesn't sleep if I can't find a solution.

Yes.

 

My desktop is only rebooted every 1 or 2 weeks. 

 

Sleep every night as there are likely 20 different tabs and files etc to continue on the next day. 

 

The LAN connection is immediate upon wakening.

Errrmmm... A cold BOOT 😉. You don't need to restart after restarting 😭

 

If you are not using the PC shut it down. Hard drive storage no longer b400 a megabyte. Very powerful computers available for the price of a 486 DX2.
