Tariffs, such as they are, go into affect on Friday, 1 August 2025.

 

So that is when they may start to "benefit" the American people.

How stupid can they get. Country is running a massive deficit and  some grandstanding senator wants to inflate the deficit more. Do this and inflation explodes and they will never see an interest rate cut. Hopefully, the fiscally responsible  members of Congress will resist. I can see the progressive wing of the Democrats supporting this if the super wealthy are not included.

I don’t see any real evidence.  
 

Besides, the left has been wrong on virtually everything they predicted.  The election, the economy and more.

 

A prominent poster was dead set on Harris winning Pennsylvania and the swing states.  His predictions gone wrong cause him to lose face so much he has never returned unless under a different username.

 

BOTTOM LINE:

As near as I can tell it is a modification to IRS code, which might allow some to claim it as tax paid and take it as a refund.
