Likely not. But it's probably amongst the 50 dumbest Trump tariffs levied so far. More to come, no doubt. Just say one unkind thing about him, just to annoy him a tiny bit, and here comes another tari

I take no medication but if I did they are covered 100% under my healthcare insurance

Even if I had to pay Trump has slashed prescription drugs prices.

I still win.🏆

So either you are a bot, or are faking that you are American??

There is no American insurance that covers 100 percent of prescription drugs.

Every American knows this.

Fact 1: American domestic beef supply is constrained due to drought.

Fact 2: MacDonald's has about 14,000 outlets in America, all serving Big Macs.

Fact 3: The tariff on Australian beef is 10%. The shipping distance is 7500 miles.

Fact 4: The tariff on Brazilian beef is 50%. The shipping distance is 4000 miles.

America can't supply enough beef for its own domestic needs, due to drought.

It makes as much sense as the USA exporting rare earths to China.

actually it depends on the medication and the plan.   I work in the health insurance industry in the USA and there are many medications that are covered 100% on several plans.

US now owes Japan money. They had agreed to lower tariffs to 15%. But instead, 15% was added to existing tariffs.

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to modify the reciprocal tariff rates on over 60 countries and territories on July 31, with Syria getting hit with the highest rate — 41% — and a number of countries, including the United Kingdom, having the rate set at 10%, the lowest on the list. About half of the jurisdictions listed received a 15% rate.

The new rates took effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday in Washington, 1:01 p.m. in Tokyo.

"IT’S MIDNIGHT!!! BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TARIFFS ARE NOW FLOWING INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Discrepancies on how to implement the agreement — which was not put in writing — leaves some of the tariff measures still unclear.

Japan insists it secured a U.S. commitment that, for items with an existing tariff rate below 15%, the total duty including the reciprocal tariff will be capped at 15%. For items with an existing tariff above 15%, no additional tariff will be imposed.

That promise was absent from an executive order signed by the president on July 31, which shows only the European Union enjoying this more favorable calculation. White House officials confirmed to Japanese media on Wednesday that the Japanese rate will be determined as published and not by using the EU method that caps some rates at 15%.

“We have confirmed with the U.S. side that there are no discrepancies between Japan and the United States,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said of the new reciprocal tariff rate at a news conference in Tokyo on Thursday morning.

Also under the terms of the July 22 handshake agreement, Trump’s tariffs on automobiles are to be cut in half from 25%, with the new total being 15% when a 2.5% levy independent of the Trump tariffs is included.

Rank incompetance by the US government it seems. Up there with mistakes on jobs. Actually worse than that, because it put the US into further debt. Who will get the sack from this hyper efficient, super lean government?

For all the talk about great deals being made, not a single deal has been made. Instead there are a series of framework agreements, some in writing, some not.

I checked with AI in case I was out of touch with current events.  I checked again, here is what Gemini says:

In the United States, there is no single insurance plan that universally covers all prescription drug costs for every individual. Most insurance plans, whether private or public, use a system of cost-sharing, where the patient is responsible for a portion of the cost.

However, there are government programs and specific insurance plan features that can significantly reduce or even eliminate out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for eligible individuals.

Medicaid: This is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage to low-income individuals and families. All states currently offer some form of prescription drug coverage through their Medicaid programs. For some beneficiaries, especially those with very low income and few assets, Medicaid may cover all or most of their prescription drug costs

Medicare Extra Help: This is a federal program that helps people with limited income and resources pay for their Medicare prescription drug costs. Individuals who qualify for "Extra Help" will have lower deductibles, premiums, and copayments for their medications. In some cases, this can result in very low or even $0 out-of-pocket costs.

Medicare Part D Catastrophic Coverage: Under Medicare Part D, once a person's total out-of-pocket drug costs reach a certain limit (which is set annually by the government), they enter the "catastrophic coverage" phase. In this phase, they are responsible for a very small coinsurance or copayment, with the plan covering the rest of the cost. Starting in 2024, the Inflation Reduction Act eliminated all cost-sharing for Part D drugs once the catastrophic phase is

reached.

In summary, while no single plan guarantees 100% coverage for everyone, programs like Medicaid and Medicare's "Extra Help" can provide comprehensive prescription drug coverage with minimal to no out-of-pocket costs for those who meet the eligibility requirements.

Then due Eric’s message above, I read that due to ACA laws, a few things have to be covered for free, namely birth control, vaccines, preventive type medication basically, which did include cholesterol meds, and I think that was it.

If you claim you live in Thailand then I don’t think you could be using many of these programs but I don’t know where you claim to live.  I don’t usually try to get my information by asking EVERY American, that would be ridiculous!!
