Suvarnabhumi Airport has been ranked among the top 10 airports in the world for air connectivity in 2024, according to a report released by the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific and Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) in collaboration with global consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Thailand’s main international gateway secured 7th place in the “Top 10 Hub Airports with Connectivity Leadership” and 9th place in the “Top 10 Airports in Air Connectivity” for 2024.

The rankings were based on a variety of criteria, including network scale and frequency, the economic importance of destinations served and the quality and efficiency of passenger connections. These factors help determine how well airports facilitate both domestic and international travel, as well as their strategic importance in the global aviation network.

The Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), which operates Suvarnabhumi, hailed the recognition as a reflection of the airport’s growing role as a vital regional transport hub and a gateway to ASEAN.

“The achievement highlights Suvarnabhumi Airport’s strategic position in the Asia-Pacific region and its role in connecting passengers across continents,” an AOT spokesperson said on 1 August.

Suvarnabhumi recently expanded its infrastructure, with the opening of the SAT-1 terminal, further enhancing its operational capacity. The improvements aim to accommodate growing passenger volumes and to improve service quality.

AOT reaffirmed its commitment to continuous development and innovation to meet global standards, enhance passenger experience and strengthen Thailand’s competitiveness in both the aviation and tourism sectors.

I'm in and out this airport probably 20 times a year and i'd agree, it's a decent airport to navigate thru, some of the walks from the gates can be a bit far but it's decent.

I've experienced few delays over the years.

I fly internationally every month, it's why I choose to live only 1 hour 15 minutes away.

Been a while since I was at Swampy. The restrooms at the Mochit bus station were 10 times larger than those at the airport.

Eating EVERY MEAL SPICY as they get in BKK.....more bathrooms please?

Immodium please? It was heavy trade for me.....I was always giving the local pharmacy business on that front.....errrrr. rear.

Thank heavens for butt-washers!

That comment was valid maybe in the first six months of its opening.
