Online appointment for extension of stay based on marriage..

Featured Replies

At the CW Immigration Center, they have these nice advertisements or signs that it is possible to apply for the extension of stay by making an appointment online. But now, after trying exactly that and selecting the appropriate category as I am married to a Thai national, I get the message shown in the picture attached.
Unfortunately, it tells me that it would be only possible if I would be married to a foreigner with a resident certification and alien registration certificate. As I don't give up hope to avoid spending at least half a day in CW, I want to ask if there is anything I maybe have not done right.

We have a booking system at Chaiyaphum.......you book online.....very easy and straightforward......there is a drawback however, it means zip, nada, nothing when you get to the office.......it is totally disregarded and a still a chaotic free for all.

Thanks so much, you saved the day (month), now we have an appointment exactly when we wanted it (despite only few slots available in August, and almost none in September...)

The OP is using CW and the online appointment system works a treat.

Clockwork.

BTW: OP you need print out hard copy of appointment to present to immigration.

If need the print shops on Level 1 can provide for you.

Obviously also require all the other docs.

You attend L1 desk for document check. They will organize then send you to L33-35 desks

You can only make the appointments one month in advance, that would be why there are no slots for September and only a few left in August.

Just posting for others.... Yes you can only book 30 days in advance.

Was not surprised there was only couple of days available in Aug.

Good you got a spot

That's because you were trying to apply for the paid e-extension system that shouldn't even exist.  You apply for an extension, upload all your documents, and then they tell you to come into the office with everything you just uploaded and you pay extra for the privilege.  And the types of extensions you can get using this system is limited, as you saw it does not cover marriage extensions.

Making an appointment online can cause you only problems. They do not care in the office. They sent us back to collect more documents two to three times. Annoying.

The thread concerns CW.

Appointments at CW work like clockwork. Brilliant.

The fact that you were poorly prepared and required more documents was the issue.

Not immigration or having an appointment..

Be aware of the requirements.

Yea ,same happening down here for a few years We made Appointments ,we show them and they don't even look at them, yet  last time some agent comes in Unannounced  after us with a handful of Passports and  paperwork and get seen to at ones .

Appointments  are only for Show  to look imported to the people , not to be used Not to worry just sit and wait.

First few words of the OP thread...

"At the CW Immigration Center...."

The thread is CW specific.

What don't you understand.

The OP was asking about appointments at CW.

He had incorrect link to appointment at CW.

The appointments run like clockwork at CW.

Fact is he was subsequently given correct advice and has an appointment.

Fact that at your office they are useless is off topic.

Frankly  NO! As DrJack has said multiple times, the stated issue is CW specific, therefore, the response is CW specific with no relevance to any other office.
