I don't have 11 but I'm sure there's a task manager you can go to like Windows 10., Ctrl-alt-delete or Windows-X. Right click app then disable or end task.

If you use task manager, all you need to do after getting it up is right click on whatever app you want to disable and click end task. Here is another link that might help...........https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-apps-running-startup-windows-11

I'm sorry but I cannot access your link. I really do appreciate you trying to help me.

Just go to task manager. You can get that from Ctrl-Alt-_Delete or Windows-X. Then click on Processes or Startup. Both have processes that are either running now or when you start your computer. Then right click on whatever Apps you want disabled and click end task. Be careful that they aren't system processes, as it should tell you that. Whatever processes you want back, just look them up again, right click and enable. To use that link,  highlight it in blue, then right click, copy, then go to another tab on your computer, go to the top bar, right click, paste and go.

Highlight the f***king link with your mouse and right click - you should get a number of options including go to that link (as long as you are using a half decent browser....)

Thanks, that worked.

Revo Uninstaller does a great job deleting Win 10 apps.

One Drive, Edge, X-Box etc. - all gone.

Don't know if it works in Win11 however.

hit control / alt / delete

 task manager opens

tap start up apps

make your choice

hit disable

done

Goto START - SETTINGS - APPS - INSTALLED APPS. from there you can modify uninstall each app, at the right of the screen are dots adjacent to the app name, click on these for your oprions.

Right click on an empty space on the Task Bar, this opens the Task Manager.

Click on Start up Apps on the left ,

then right click on the offending item and disable it.

I use the free version of CCleaner. You can delete or disable progs in startup. Just go to tools

I have now found your link, but it is mostly telling you how to disable  apps. I only want to stop the qTorrent app from running in the background.

In Qbittorrent, click on the gear cog to view Preferences.

Make sure that  the "Close qbittorrent to notification area" option in the Behaviour section is unchecked.
