New PL season 2025/26 predictions. ⚽️

Featured Replies

I know this is hard.

Transfer window is not closed.

But only 7 days until the season begins.

My predictions as follows for top 7 & bottom 5:

1.  Liverpool           16.  West Ham

2.  Chelsea              17.  Wolves

3.  Arsenal              18.   Sunderland

4.  Man City            19.   Leeds

5.  Newcastle         20.   Burnley

6.  Aston Villa

7.  Man Utd

The promoted 3 have bought new players, but are they PL standard?

Time will tell. 🤔

Some interesting transfers will probably still happen this window.

Liverpool look good going forward.

Arsenal have the best defence.

Chelsea stronger than last season.

Liverpool & City's defence not that solid.

It's going to be an interesting season.

Starts this week, after what seems an eternity.

Can't see any outsiders getting a shout. Maybe Palace for top 6.

1 -  Chelsea

2 -  Man City

3 - Arsenal

4 - Liverpool

5/6/7 - Villa/Palace/Toon

Sorry Forest, Spurs, Utd, Beez. Not this season. Midtablers.

Bottom three. Easy to go for the promoted clubs as the doomed. But I've a feeling Leeds will survive. And money-bags Black Cats might have to do it all again the following season.

17/18 - Sunderland/Fulham

19 - Wolves

20 - Burnley

My dark horses; south coast Cherries. and new ground Toffeez.

Right then. Just a few days to go. Here are the probable scores for the opening round. Good to see the champs playing in the first game.

1-1 - Pool v Cherries

2-0 - Villa v Toon

2-0 - Seagulls v Cottagers

2-1 - Black Cats v Irons

1-1 - Spurs v Clarets

0-2 - Wolves v City

2-2 - Chelsea v Palace

1-2 - Forest v Beez

1-1 - United v Gunners

0-0 - Peacocks v Toffeez

Interesting call.

Liverpool to fall to 4th. I suppose Salah & VVD are certainly getting on. They could still sign Isak.

I can't see Palace finishing that high.

Will they even keep hold of Eze?

Hopefully it will be a close, interesting & entertaining battle. 👍

Can't agree with some of your 'interesting' predictions:

Pool 3 Cherries 1

Sund 1 WHU 1

Spurs 2 Burn 0

Chelsea 2 Palace 0

Forest 2 Bees 1

But ... you never know.

The Golden Boot Race could be interesting this season:

Haaland

Gyokores

Isak

Sesko

Ekitike

Salah

Pedro

Indeed!

One injury. Out of favour and relegated to the bench for a whole could make or break the player's goal tally season. I think Harland will find his touch again.

If Trossard went back to the South Coast I'd have fancied him to get in there.

You got Black Cats & Chelsea which I thought were big calls.

EPL this evening. Kicking off with WHU v Chelsea.

0-3 - Irons v Blues

3-0 - City v Spurs

3-0 - Cherries v Wolves

1-1 - Beez v Villa

1-2 - Clarets v Black Cats

2-0 - Gunners v Peacocks

2-1 - Palace v Forest

2-1 - Toffeez v Seagulls

1-2 - Cottagers v United

1-1 - Toon v Pool

I don't get the Isak situation. Why don't he want to play for Toon?

Sad to see Eze and Guehi go.

Can Wood do the biz for Forest? Black Cats for top 6?

I agree with most, but ...

Villa to win at Bees.

Draws at Palace & Everton.

Liverpool to win.

No way Sunderland top 6.

Another match on Thai channel 29 (Mono) at 21:00. Good stuff.

Don't mind if it's Bournemouth, Burnley or Brentford.

I'll watch a bit of German football before that. 👍

Getting better. Only one I got hopelessly wrong was the City v Spurs match.

So, here we go for a the first full house of the season. But!!!! I'll have one eye on the FA Cup first round matches. Aveley already through.

3-2 - Blues v Cottagers

2-0 - United v Clarets

2-1 - Black Cats v Beez

2-2 - Spurs v Cherries

1-2 - Wolves v Toffeez

1-1 - Peacocks v Toon

1-3 - Seagulls v City

1-1 - Forest v Irons

0-2 - Pool v Gunners

1-1 - Villa v Palace

Big match up north of the border; 2-2

Good calls so far, except Spurs. I watched that game on True ch29. The Cherries should have won by more.

Can't see The Gunners winning at Anfield unless they score a couple from boring corners.

I'll be watching the Glasgow derby later followed by the Dundee derby.

Rangers are poor. Can't see them getting anything.

That was a tough Sunday to predict for me too.

The Glasgow derby was really poor.

Arsenal too negative.

Pool signed Isak & Guehi (probably).

Jeez! You are not wrong there Gary. You was right about Pool v Gunners.

This year, and I reckon it's the best chance for 40 of them, there does seem a glimmer of hope for teams outside Glasgow.

The whole w/e had shocks. Who would have thought Spurs, after their win at City, would lose at home? Palace and Irons both did very well.

My three teams to watch out for; Toffeez, Cherries and Palace. They my not break through, but during the season they will have some stonking results.

Interesting season for sure.

  • 3 weeks later...
Here we go then for this w/e.

Some great games to get the heart racing. I was tempted to go for a Toffee win, but thought better of it. Cherries to continue their good start.

1-1 - Pool v Toffeez
2-1 - Seagulls v Spurs
2-1 - Clarets v Forest
0-2 - Irons v Palace
2-0 - Wolves v Peacocks
1-2 - United v Blues
1-0 - Cottagers v Beez
2-0 - Cherries v Toon
1-0 - Black Cats v Villa
1-1 - Gunners v City

Another really hard weekend.

Utd actually beat Chelsea & Leeds deserved to win at Wolves.

I'll be watching the Rome derby today.

Lazio vs Roma. Great atmosphere.

Tough w/e for predicting for sure. The only way it could have been harder to predict was if Toffeez had hosted Pool.

Palace are gonna be a tough team to beat this season.

What does the new ground in Liverpool look like Garry?

It looks just like all the other boring new bowls. I love the old unique traditional grounds. Different stands & floodlights in the corners.

Okay, no floodlights this one, but take me back to Highbury & standing on the North Bank terracing in the 80s. 👏

I think my favourite PL grounds are:

Villa, Forest, Leeds & Newcastle.

A few have changed down the years.

I liked the old Spurs ground. Villa Park. The Wolves ground; Molineux. Toffeez old ground was OK. Was there with 73k others, one Easter, many moons ago.

Right then It's Sept 27th. Let's get a full house of results for the first time this season.

First up, in an hours time, is the opening match of today's seven.

3-2 - Beez v United

2-0 - Blues v Seagulls

2-1 - Place v Pool ----- First dropped points for the champs.

1-2 - Peacocks v Cherries

5-0 - City v Clarets

1-1 - Forest v Black Cats

2-0 - Spurs v Wolves

2-1 - Villa v Cottagers

1-1 - Toon v Gunners

2-0 - Toffeez v Irons

Other pics

1-1 ----- Saints v Boro looks a great game in Champs.

2-1 ----- Orient V Boro (Stevenage) ----- almost a local derby.

You're not doing too badly.

Bees & Palace were good calls. 👍

I think Toon will also be 1 - 1.

* Sunderland & Leeds are surprising me this season. Could stay up after all.

I agree Gary.

Could be one hell of a fight down at the bottom this season. Great!

Orient v Stevenage ----- The Boro (Stevenage) beat my number one League team 2-3. But where have Stevenage come from? They have had one rocky road to get where they are now. And if Orient can't make it to the Championship' I hope The Boro can. Could they do a Cherries even?

I'd wager that not so many footy fans know where the town is.

My mate here is from Stevenage, but he's not a huge footie fan. I remember them hosting Newcastle in the FA Cup a while back. Their ground would need a bit of a facelift if they did a Cherries.

I saw the Orient/Stevenage highlights on YouTube on Sunday among many other games.

Just noticed a game tonight. Put the other forecasts up tomorrow.

2-0 Cherries v Cottagers

Wonderful to see the Cherries in the top 4. I'm definitely a fan now-a-days. Palace and Black Cats right up there.

Right then. Let's get to it. Only one full house - results, not all correct scores -  last season. So it's about time for another one.

2-0 - Cherries v Cottagers

1-1 - Peacocks v Spurs

3-0 - Gunners v Irons

1-2 - United - Black Cats

2-1 - Blues v Pool

2-0 - Villa v Clarets

2-2 - Toffeez v Palace

2-0 - Toon v Forest

1-3 - Wolves v Seagulls

1-3 - Beez v City

If I'm right the Gunners will lead the table this w/e. No change at the bottom.

I agree with you, except I have Man Utd & Liverpool to win. I certainly understand why you think Chelsea & Black Cats can win though. Let's see.
