Chikungunya Vaccines

Aug. 6, 2025

Two chikungunya vaccines are available in the United States:

  • A live-attenuated vaccine (called IXCHIQ) that uses a weakened form of the chikungunya virus to prompt an immune response to help prevent disease.
  • A virus-like particle vaccine (called VIMKUNYA) that uses a molecule that resembles the virus closely enough to prompt an immune response to help prevent illness. This vaccine does not use a live or weakened form of the chikungunya virus.
  • Some travelers at higher risk of exposure to chikungunya virus should consider getting vaccinated before their trip.

There also was an update on the issue of senior citizens receiving the IXCHIQ vaccine (the live-attenuated one of the two available vaccines) in the past week from the U.S. FDA, as follows:  (keep in mind, this is the Trump Admin/RFK Jr. HHS FDA below saying this)

FDA Update on the Safety of Ixchiq (Chikungunya Vaccine, Live)

FDA Removes Recommended Pause in Use and Approves Required Updated Labeling

August 6, 2025

"On May 9, 2025, FDA issued a safety communication informing the public that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) jointly recommended a pause in the use of Ixchiq (Chikungunya Vaccine, Live) in individuals 60 years of age and older while the Agencies undertook an investigation of postmarketing reports of serious adverse events, including neurologic and cardiac events, in individuals who have received the vaccine.

...

Based on the available data, and its benefit-risk assessment, FDA has removed the recommended pause in the use of Ixchiq in individuals 60 years of age and older and has approved updates to the Prescribing Information and Patient Information that it required of the company, Valneva Austria GmbH."

https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/safety-availability-biologics/fda-update-safety-ixchiq-chikungunya-vaccine-live

In reading the FDA's announcement, it says the labeling info for the live-attenuated vaccine has been revised to recommend its use "in individuals 18 years of age and older who are at high risk of exposure to CHIKV.... “Vaccination with Ixchiq is not advisable for most U.S. travelers. For most U.S. travelers, the risk of exposure to CHIKV is low."

And the warning section likewise has been updated to say: "...serious adverse reactions that have been reported during postmarketing use with Ixchiq. ... These reports suggest that individuals 65 years of age and older with one or more chronic medical conditions may have an increased risk for these serious adverse reactions following vaccination with Ixchiq."

Obviously, I don't walk 'everywhere'. But I go into the forest and listen to the birds chattering most days. I feed the ducks and the fish. I've not used any medicine for the past 5 years.

Been known to eat a leaf or two. But not in the last 50 years.

It is my job to try to save people. Save, by encouraging them to seek out nature. For it is only when one respects and loves nature that one can see the fraudulent activities and folly of modern medicine. And indeed, the evilness of world leaders and elites.

We are at a special moment on time. and, I have to say it, it's because of the internet. Empires were built on the back of the printing press. Now the internet has given virtually everyone the ability to research and seek truths.

We must grasp this moment in time and return humans to their proper place. An integral part of nature. Not some species that thinks it can better nature and improve it.

Nutritious food, clean uncontaminated water and fresh air for all. That's what I say. Not weapons, filth in the waterways and putting toxic junk into kids bodies.

Education is the key. Nature has all the answers.

Humans have always been killing each other, so what on earth are you talking about.

Nature causes disease and death, you are living in your own weeee bubble of nonsense....

Next you will be saying you don't hurt humans by driving a car, getting on a plane, or farting...........:ermm:

Nature has to be respected. If we continue to use earth's resources to kill our fellow humans, destroy the habitat of animals and foul the earth, and the next generation does the same, then there is little hope that we can fulfil our destiny for maybe 100 years.

We have the power. We must get off our apathetic knees and unite. It is through our strengths that we can rebuild our education and medical systems.

Respect nature. Respect fellow humans. Respect animals.
