TM30 password nonsense

No one has ever asked about it or rised any questions...

As usual depends on your immigration office.

If you haven't been asked for TM30 previously then do nothing.

Personally I do a new one annually for my 12 month extension (CW)

Since using document check girls they sometimes ask for non required items.

Seems you have not changed place of residence.

Here is clear guide from agent explaining TM30.

You only have to reset password ONE time through "Forgot password". Next time, just close the popup and log in with your new password, works every time.

Most Passwords now must contain those characters, and you usually cannot use an older one.

All these Password Managers offered by so many companies now, are absolute rubbish.

A simple 4 digit number, a 'special' character, then some way you can remember the company's name.

FOR EXAMPLE.  Bankgkok Bank could be 6789@BngkkBnk, or say Nationwide 6789@Ntnwd, get it. ? No Manager , or REMEMBERING needed.

I have between 250 and 300 passwords!   I am not remembering all of them.

Yes.

As usual depends on flip of the coin.

800b is common. Have seen a report of 1600b. Highway robbery.

What is the fine for never filing a TM30?

The higher one?

Then why do you not create a 'Formula' which applies to ALL, yes ALL your sites, logs in (or is it Log Ins?)

Invent something like mine.........a 4 digit PIN, an Icon, eg *, @, ? then a 'guide" to the site. As I mentioned earlier, Bangkok Bank could be Bngkknk, Nationwide is Ntnwd, AN is AsnNw..............the name minus Vowels, (or without Consonants). Then NO THOUGHT or MEMORY is needed, simply the Formula.

Why make things more simple and smooth for foreigners coming  and spending more time and money then the 3 week tourists ?

The regulations say 1600 but 800 is the common fine.  The bigger issue is that they often will not provide whatever service it is you are seeking until you complete the TM30.

Agree that's it's a silly requirement however your place of accommodation can provide TM30.

And give you print out.

In most instances it's only needed for a dealing with immigration.

Most common would be extensions.

eg 30 day extension may/will require TM30 to show you currently in area for that immigration office

You don't have to change the password. The site is very confusing about filing one stay though.

Successfully reset our password, and can subsequently log-in with that new passport.

I will say that the link in the initial reply email was very hard to see (iPhone/email).

Thailand's immigration = the ultimate IT hub of the universe 😉
