Roundabouts are great for traffic flow and wait times,Thais don't even obey the traffic lights..or do the double left turn to go straight manoeuvre because of the stupidly long wait times or even if not so long, I'm sure if there were more roundabouts  Thais would get used to using them quite quickly...if accompanied with a TV advertising campaign explaining the proper usage.  It's a bit of a chicken or egg situation at the moment, they are not used because they are unfamiliar to Thai drivers... because they are not used.

Roundabouts should be removed in Thailand, I have yet to see a single Thai use them properly, all they do is increase the danger level here. They are a great idea, but only if you have well-trained drivers and a police force that keeps bad drivers in check with enforcement, both or which are lacking/absent in Thailand.

Looks like you agree with me but still blame the roundabouts, then.

He should have been named and shamed, we are guests in this country , behave like one.

He has been and his name is in several reports, but some places prefer the low profile reporting.

Traffic lights and junctions barely work here!

It's not the roundabouts, it's the Thai drivers refusal to use them properly or safely, basically breaking all the rules to benefit themselves, the me-first rule is the only rule they follow.

his is your typical foreigner on our roads in Pattaya

No, it's your typical low class Brit, anywhere in Pattaya.  Shirtless, foul mouthed with a giant chip on his shoulder. Shaved head and tattoos complete the ensemble.
