Drinking Holes?

Featured Replies

:D Best cocktails I had on Samui,The Lava Lounge,on the road to Lamai beah itself.

Owner called Frank, has some nice staff,no hassles & very nice drinks.

Reason I'm posting this,is he really goes out of his way to look after you.Nice atmosphre & bongos to play with nice music.Sounds like shit pouring out of my mouth well it's not ,just was so impressed with a small place blew me away.

Why don't you share your favourite drinking holes? :o

Deja-vu is good for cocktails on chewang beach road.

Bare foot bar at the other end of the road.

Q Bar Massage by starbucks is ok.

Good music and relaxed atmosphere in all.

I prefer smaller bars like these than the bigger night clubs.

You can actually have a conversation without being deffened

by music :o

I like the Deja too,

Use to like the "Drop In" across the street, too bad they pulled the matts and pillows for more table space, use to be really laid back.

Roo I could'nt agree with you more. The Lava Lounge is an excepional bar especially in Lamai. The cocktails, Irish coffees and imported beers are fantastic and cheap. The music is the icing on the cake. Lamai desperatly needed this one. Very chilled.

SEAtramp,

Flares has been gone for months.

Jazzman,

Flares used to be where the Irish Embassy used to be and now there's a Scandi restaurant called Sibelius.

It's on beach road inbetween Samui International Diving School's main shop and Malibu Beach resort.

No Jazzman, it didn't.

The owner got a deal from Sibelius which he couldn't turn down apparently.

Has anybody been in The Lava Lounge recently? I hear it might be for sale. I hope it's not true. Also, does anybody have any contact details for it. I lost the email address.

Cheers

Lava Lounge but maybe not enough. I think
