You're  stuttering and getting confused

This is the Government website

Here, which will tell you about the Pilot Scheme and how it will be rolled out

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/child-benefit-action-to-save-350-million-from-claimants-abroad

And here, which will tell you about Eligibility Verification Powers

Keep windmilling

' this is the govt website'  not only are you confused ,you do not know what you are actually  spouting    DWP banking details but more pointed to the unfrozen in Thailand,as published in Thailand,  you are getting confused at the gist of of the ops opener.

Nothing remotely connected to 350 million/billion child benefits.

Now if you want a lesson what actually states in DWP regulations regarding state pension, look it up,I'm here to guide you  lol     thank you for no newspaper clippings, but you did copy and paste  ,basically you do not know anything about anything, but keep it up,just copy and paste with a bit more  ,well a lot more, copy and paste  lol

  • So many people frightened of their government ............ A government that can't even deliver a proof of life request on time.   How many extra staff do they need to trawl through 22M

  • The thread is new banking details, again new banking details  ,not about pensioners committing fraud/theft,got those knickers of yours in a twist, seems to be twisting more with others too, never mind cy

  • Not sure what you mean. DWP already knows my bank acc number as it puts my pension payments there, and already knows my bank balance as tax is taken from the interest payments from it.

State Pensions are a " Benefit " since 2016, which are paid through the DWP.

Which will come under the same scrutiny as every other " Benefit " paid by the DWP.

This was just the test run

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/child-benefit-action-to-save-350-million-from-claimants-abroad

And then add in this

What could that possibly mean ?

It means that the DWP won't be trawling bank accounts, getting warrants to check on people. The Banks will be doing it.

And it is due to start in April and the start of the new financial year.

You carry on windmilling.

HOW MANY MORE TIMES !!!

It became a BENEFIT in 2016.

This was to make it easier to " Means Test " it at some point in the future. Probably sometime during  this Parliament.

Just to reinforce that for some here is some 'light' reading from the official source for those who really want to dig into the weeds...........

6. State Pension overpayments and underpayments

State Pension (SP) is paid to those who have reached the minimum age to claim (currently 66 years old) and have enough qualifying years on their National Insurance record. SP is the benefit with the highest expenditure, accounting for a little under half of total benefit expenditure.

The expenditure on SP has increased from £123.9bn in FYE 2024 to £142.0bn in FYE 2025.

Claimants who live overseas and have reported a non-GB address are not part of the SP review. An adjustment is made to the calculation on overseas Fraud and Claimant error, concerning the late/non-notification of death, and is applied to overpayment rates. Further information on this can be found in the Background Information and Methodology note.
