Can someone check out these persons bank accounts,"Mr. Nattapob Yomjinda, Deputy District Chief of Banglamung, alongside Police Lieutenant Colonel Suchart Dusadee, Deputy Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station".

Plus where there bank transfers go to.

They are clearly on drugs or get a sh.t load of bribes. Let me name a few possible sources, PS I cannot name them all otherwise I may put you to sleep.

  • Brothels
  • Traffic Fines. RTP focusing on farlangs
  • Operating beyond opening hours.
  • Drug traffickers in bars etc.
  • Assassinations. Falling  off high condos etc
  • Busting competition for a fee

Hurrah for a crackdown.

Thailand wouldn't be Thailand unless there was a crackdown announcement.

As seedy and as bad as Pattaya may be described, Patong and Chaweng Beach are no better, if not  worse.

I never liked Phuket or Samui. I could cope with Pattaya

I tried a Tuk-Tuk in BKK & HATED the noisy things....You could haul a bit of cargo in them though.

The tuk-tuk drivers were RELENTLESS in begging me for a fare in Phuket. Not much better on Samui.

Baht bus is the way to get around Pattaya. Mayhaps grab a motorcycle taxi if you are feeling brave.

I was once on a motodop & he started yapping on his phone. I made him stop & gave him half his quoted 60 baht fare.....Either take care of your customer, or I'll find another taxi.

He started yelling at me, in English, "I am Thai! This Thailand! I do what I WANT to do!"

I was quite calm, I told him (in Thai), no problem. He got kinda aggravated with me. That confrontation last 10 seconds.

You ain't going to try & drive a scooter & yap on your phone with me on the back pal. Let ME OFF. You're FIRED.

As the Goons would say "you silly twisted boy".

OR (going right of topic). When Neddy was underwater and needed some directions he knocked on the nearest oyster 'hello is Pearl in' and Min replied "No, I'm her mother", and Neddy said ' you must be Mother-of-Pearl'.

Sorry. ;(

You can't get the police, you know  😉

Phumtham is in permanent grovel mode to his boss, the two-faced prig Thaksin. Pattaya covers a large area of which the nightlife/entertainent sector is only a part. It attracts tourists from all over the world. Leave it alone.

Crimnoy I am aging. I recall, in 1999, the Pattaya Mail  had a picture of Beach Road that said PATTAYA IS CLEARED OF ELEPHANTS & PROSTITUTES.

I enjoyed the elephants.

I miss seeing the elephants,  but they were a problem getting hit by cars.

It was amazing to be sitting at a road side stall and have an elephant come walking up with the little red reflector on their tails!

I think late 90's early 2000's was a very good time! Baht was still cheap and the girls didn't have phones!

Amen brother! Perhaps we were just younger as well? It was 45 baht to the USD in 1999. Good times.
