This summer, the UK government told people to prepare for war on British soil, and is urging better preparedness for conflict across society. Assuming tensions continue to ramp up and a new global conflict were to erupt, there are some indicators about what would happen if the UK went to war and needed to introduce conscription.

Can't believe what I just read. Conscript who to fight against who/what? Most serious observers recognise a certain ideology as the worst threat to Britain and British identity. The most popular English name for newborn boys suggest the country fell without an actual war. 

Russia/North Korea/Iran are insignificant worries by comparison.

The Government are skirting around something that they dare not say out loud.

 

The biggest threat to the UK, is an internal threat.

All white Brits under the age of 75 will be press-ganged into service to "fight and die for their country" as they are sent to the Russian, Chinese, African, and South American "fronts."
All POC, refugees, and illegal migrants will stay in the UK to run the government as it's not their country so no reason to fight and die for a country which ain't theirs.

Conscription?  This scenario reminds me that the Myanmar junta conscripts young Burmese men to fight for them against their own countrymen.  In the UK, it would be the same scenario, because the enemy of the people in the UK is the UK government.

Given the current tensions within the UK, and in particular the friction between the indigenous and Muslim immigrant communities, reinforced perhaps by a recent arrest of a white male for mentioning bacon during a protest, perhaps the "Original Posters" posting identity is, umh, unfortunate?

There is no conscription or requirement for military service in the United Kingdom; the British armed forces are a professional volunteer force.

Will the men who consider them self a woman also be made to fight? Just that their nails may get broken if they do and we cant have that can we.

I initially signed on for 3 years in the British Army ended up staying 22 years best time of my life (and at times worse) though I wouldn't change it taught me a lot, my father grandfather and great grandfather were all navy. 

I now have one son in the navy and another in the Royal Marines so you could say it runs in the family, I would sign up again tomorrow if I could though I am probably even too old for Dads Army now.

I think conscription of some sort should be compulsory for everbody right now sooner the better probably between the ages of 18 and 25.

Not necessarily part of the regular forces (they dont want them) could be a sort of reserve force set up specifically to train them I would suggest 6 months full time or 2 years part time. That would be just about enough time to teach them the very basics (like which end of the weapon to hold).

It might even get a few that find they actually enjoy it and decide to join the regulars
