Ukraine is winning the war

Featured Replies

The Bundestag has approved Germany's 2026 budget with a record amount of aid for Ukraine, according to Spiegel.

The budget allocates a separate €11.5 billion in aid for Ukraine. These funds are intended for the purchase of artillery systems, drones, armored vehicles, and other weapons.

According to the German Ministry of Defense, this is the largest amount of support Berlin has provided since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. In this way, Germany’s new government signals that it will continue its strategic support for Kyiv and strengthen European defense capabilities.

https://voennoedelo.com appears to be a Russian military news and analysis website.

The site consistently publishes content from a Russian perspective, focusing heavily on the war in Ukraine and related geopolitical issues, often using information from official sources like the Russian Ministry of Defense. The articles frequently quote Russian officials and military experts and describe events using terminology such as "special military operation," which is used by the Russian government.

This 28 point plan is the basis of the surrender document.

If it's adopted, and signed, by Zelensky and Pres Putin, everyone will be a winner. The Don will get big glory. Ruskies will get the spoils. Europe don't have to sh!t itself any more. Ukas can go home.

The US can then more on to other foes. Big delivery of tissues to Number 10.

Kazakhstan began urgently looking for alternative routes for its oil exports after another strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Novorossiysk early on November 29. Kazakh crude currently transits through Russia's Novorossiysk port, according to Russian media and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The ministry said that, due to an "extraordinary incident in the waters of the Novorossiysk port," it was forced to announce the redirection of export volumes to alternative routes.

Officials confirmed that unmanned surface vessels struck marine infrastructure belonging to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). The attack disabled the SPM-2 single-point mooring unit, which sustained significant damage. The unit will remain offline until full repair and restoration work is completed.

"To minimize negative consequences and maintain production levels at major fields, the ministry has urgently activated a plan to reroute export volumes to alternative routes," the statement said.

According to Russian media, oil from three large Kazakh fields — Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak — is transported through pipelines owned by the CPC. Total oil exports through CPC facilities reached 4.2 million tons in 2024.

To assert otherwise is to parrot Russian propaganda.

Don't fall for that. So many have, on this forum, President Trump and his vile ignorance and idiocy saying Ukraine has no cards, etc.

Hint -- look at the bigger picture beyond the tiny land gains Russia has made in the last 1000 days (tiny win, massive sacrifices).

The war is about much more than that.

Ukraine is not winning overwhelmingly; it remains an intense epic struggle, but on balance they are doing better than Russia and Putin has failed miserably to achieve his goals of his invasion of 2022.

Putin obviously wants Ukraine to surrender. Trump depending on his fickle mood at the time also wants Ukraine to surrender.

Countries that are winning, even modestly, are not ever going to surrender.

What a load of crap, if you are losing land, and quite a bit more than tiny, you are not winning.

The frontline in Ukraine is not facing imminent collapse despite recent Russian gains and Kremlin assertions.

Putin indicated that RU does not recognize the US-proposed peace plan as a serious agreement & indicated that RU is not interested in ending the war on the Trump admin's desired rapid timeline. Putin reiterated that RU cannot sign any peace or other agreements w/ the current or future UA gov't.

Putin demanded UA's withdrawal from unoccupied parts of illegally annexed UA regions as a precondition for a ceasefire, not a peace deal. Putin also demanded that the international community recognize RU’s territorial conquests in UA, likely to set legal grounds to justify a reinvasion of UA.

RU forces commit war crimes in Hulyaipole & Pokrovsk directions.

RU forces advanced in northern Kharkiv Oblast, Slovyansk-Lyman direction, Kostyantynivka tactical area, & Pokrovsk & Novopavlivka directions.

Sberbank's German Gref  has stated that the current ruble rate is far from its true level, identifying a fair range of roughly 100 to 105 rubles for one dollar.

From today’s stronger rate, that implies a potential slide of about 34 percent. A decline of that scale functions as a hidden tax on Russian wages, pensions, and savings, allowing the state to redirect value toward sustaining the war effort.

Russia’s economic dependence on China is deepening. Beijing purchases discounted Russian energy and supplies machinery and controlled goods at sharply higher prices.

Research shows that Chinese-controlled exports to Russia have risen in price far more steeply than similar goods for other markets.

The greatest heist in the history of the world - the cyncism and treachery is utterly stunning. WSJ article on the Art of the Steal. And let's just anchor this the second term duly elected President of the most powerful country in the history of the world is orchestrating and directing this. And likely many other arrangements as well China is supplying Russia with high-tech electronics, chips, drones, and dual-use components, and in practice Beijing is unsanctionable. China holds all the leverage here: it cannot afford for Russia to fail because Moscow functions both as its strategic buffer and as a pressure point to expose the limits of Western resolve and unit.

The spoils? The destruction of cities and landscapes resembles a barren moon. Russia lacks the funds to rebuild what it has destroyed. How many years will it take to clear all the landmines and unexploded shells?

Sadly like you see in the South of Thailand where my wife's family has been flooded 2 years in a row - the world is now going to hell pretty much everwhere and it will pretty much go to every country for itself and within that the rich will create their arks as best they can.

Ricly in his comedic intro is me.... gulp - spot on . Feck though he is channeling the doomsters... it's a voice in his head - beautful community. Like it is mine. @Jingthing

China turning against Russia

I'm watching this very speculative. Just another YouTuber talking head chasing clout. Probably similar to my own analysis: a few factual points mixed with a lot of biased speculation.

The bigger picture is this: right now, China and Russia have no reason and no intention to let historical differences get in the way of a strategic alliance. The money’s in a pro-Ukraine, pro-Western angle, and Google tends to monetize that, so the major channels follow the cash.

But the reasons for these disasters are not the same.
