Well, on Wednesday in the Oval Office, Trump lied this: “Now it’s considered a totally safe zone (Wash, DC)…restaurants are open, they’re bustling, Restaurants, you have to see, restaurant were dying, nobody wanted to go out, they didn’t want to be attacked, they didn’t want to be mugged, they didn’t want to be attacked even in the restaurant, and now you take a look at what’s happened, friends of mine” blah blah blah. (a likely fictitious story of a 'friend' who has gone out to eat 5 times in the last 2 weeks, after having not gone out for a meal in 4 years) The truth, according to OpenTable, is that restaurant reservations in DC are down 30% from this time last year (Note: at this time last year, the President was Joe Biden).
