DTV - flying in with Thai dependant

Featured Replies

Hi. Due to the rotational nature (outside Thailand) of my work and the unfortunate removal of Multi O visas for having Thai dependants, I went down the DTV route and was successful on this which has helped enormously visiting Thailand every other month as I had been warned last year to get a proper visa or face not being let in. I realise I can upgrade the Single Non O to multi O but this is not possible for me as I’m never in Thailand long enough to do this.

Anyway, my question is, perhaps being a bit over cautious is I brought my daughter back to my home country for the summer to stay with family. I’m now flying back to Thailand soon with her. Do you think any questions maybe asked as to why I’m on a DTV and not an O? I’ve had this conversation before on arrival before getting the DTV and explained circumstances but I’m concerned they might not agree with my circumstances now for getting the DTV - which by the way are 100% legitimate and true.

Any relevant opinions greatly received thanks.

Excellent question.

Fact is you have a valid visa (DTV) multi entry.

So you can enter Thailand.

Understand fully the issue for example roster workers eg oil gas since Non O multi was removed.

Married guys on roster cannot be available for under consideration period etc.

Ignore any nonsense that you should have a Non O from immigration.

As for Thai daughter.. She cannot be refused entry.

Assume she has Thai pp.
