The problem is the economy of India is below Thailand. The gdp per person of India is nearly 3 times lower than Thailand. 

 

Once you open the door to say 'you can come here and work for this sector only' - it will just let ALOT in. At the moment it's impossible for indians to hide in the gig economy and work ilegally other than restaurants (and the odd other job). But now they will be able to come in force. 

 

It's the end of Thailand as we know it. 

 

It's not going to Sri Lankans.
