Israeli drones dropped four grenades close to U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon near the border with Israel as they were working to clear roadblocks, the force said Wednesday. No one was hurt in the attack.

The peacekeeping force known as UNIFIL described the Tuesday morning incident as “one of the most serious attacks on UNIFIL personnel and assets” since the cessation of hostilities in November that ended the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war.

Israel has been attacked by Hamas, with many horrific casualties.

No rule exists that would suggests that a victim should protect, feed, and take care of the enemy in a war situation....

However, response has to be proportional and a rule does exist that you take the utmost care to protect civilians in your actions and with a greater than 80% civilian casualty rate (Israel’s own figures) it would appear that isn’t happening, which is a war crime.

 

Many Gazans are refusing to leave Gaza city, that makes Israel’s job much harder as they have to protect those that stay.  They can’t just demolish all the habitation which appears to be one of their aims.

It's an army's duty to protect civilians from combat, failure to do so is a war crime.

 

IMHO the most sensible things the Gazan's can do is refuse to leave Gaza city, it prevents Israel from leveling Gaza and sets them up for a war crime if they do so.

   If civilians are staying to act as human shields for Hamas and to keep hostages hidden then Israel can kill them .

    If Hamas are using a  building and civilians refuse to leave, then Israel can bomb that building

I would suggest greater than 4 to 1 civilian vs combatant casualty is not proportional.

A court decides in each individual case/event not a forum user, you go ahead and suggest whatever you want, I will stick to facts and evidence as it also depends on military goals, there is not one cap that fits all in proportionality
