A deadly altercation between two brothers in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district ended with one sibling dead and the other in police custody. Authorities report that a 49-year-old man fatally stabbed his 48-year-old brother during a drinking session at their apartment.

Police were alerted to the incident by neighbours and arrived at the scene with forensic teams, a doctor from Ramathibodi Hospital and volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation. The victim, identified as Mr. Nop, a security guard, was found with three stab wounds to his left chest, lying on the balcony outside the flat.

The alleged perpetrator, Mr. Chan, was taken into custody. A folding knife approximately 15 cm in length was recovered nearby.

Neighbours reported that the flat was home to the two brothers and their mother. They stated that the siblings frequently argued after drinking alcohol. On the day of the incident, neighbours heard a loud quarrel inside the flat before discovering the victim dead on the balcony.

Police have detained the elder brother for questioning at Din Daeng Police Station and are continuing their investigation before pressing charges.

Too much money lost if they do that. The men were adults. Perhaps it would have been better if Thais were taught self control with their actions when their moods change.
