Thanks for the tip, but I don't need them. But it seems that you've found them helpful and I'm happy for you. You must be relieved that today a HIV diagnosis is not the death sentence it once was.

Hang in there, buddy!

Hopefully you aren't one of those gullible guys that follows whatever the doctor says, money motive is massive

Two years ago I had a cyst removed from my hand at Bangkok Christian Hospital. Removal and biopsy all included at around 7,000THB. Not sure why it would be any different for skill cancer removal and biopsy. I guess I will find out if or when I get it.

The issue is not the initial sampling per se.

It is the experience with skin cancer needed to recognize which lesions should be biopsied and how (there are different options depending on how high the index of suspicion is, which type of skin cancer is suspected and whether it is in a cosmetically sensitive area). If biopsy shows malignancy, expertise  needed to decide how then to best  proceed to endure complete removal with clear margins....and if it is melanoma (which unlike othrr skin cancers,  can metastsize to internal organs) whether scans, lymoh node sampling etc is indicated.

Experience/expertise needed on part of both the dermotoligist and the pathologist who interprets  the biopsy. When it comes to skin cancer, which is comparstively rare in Thais, both are hard to find here. Doesn't help to have a biopsy done if the patholigist who reads it has seen very little skin cancer  in their career.

Are there any countries that are good for visiting and seeing a Dermatologist specialist for this purpose ?

What city?

Sorry for picking this up so late.

Having had skin cancer here and having have a number of operations and or other treatments to remove those skin cancers, I could not more highly recomend my skin specialist, Dr Patcharahatai Kraisak at Samitivet Sukhumvit.  She is brillant.

For this type of thing, you want the best.

Australia is excellent. Especially Queensland.

Skin cancer capital of the world.

I say this as a twenty year melanoma survivor.

You have already received numerous suggestions.

Dr. Anna in Pattaya would probably be my top pick, if cost not a concern. Otherwise the government Derm Institute in Bangkok.

Most posters here missed the point.

First of all it's about diagnosis of skin cancer.

And then......coming the next steps as treatment.

So you are to look for a dermatologist who is well recommended in Thailand.

I prefer Professor Siri in Chiangmai.

However, there will be more specialists in Thailand.
