Some plans do have a gym membership, either fully or partially covered.

I understand that part, its like we all have free healthcare in the Nordic countries, but every tax payer pays for it.

It's the name of the excellent gym I went to yesterday

Situated up on that busy road Sukhumvit? Near big C

Excellent customer service and very kind staff who showed me around Elite gym

Sun fitness in Naklua is decent, 140 baht a day which is very cheap, 1090 for the month.

I think they may have one in Soi Bukhaw too

What is the muscle factory like?

I hate going into gyms where there are big bodybuilder types who try to push you or stare at me

I heard you can get Carbon monoxide poisoning from the cars going past ?

Here you go again on your own.......walking down the same road you always do....

Yes, you can get poisoned. Even worse, there are a lot of crazy drivers that run into gyms a slash people with machetes. Also, they are waiting for you outside, to tie you up and force feed you with carbon monoxide.

Both, ideally.

I gained a bit of muscle.

Some days you don't want to torture yourself in that gym, but feels good having some tone.

Walk down to the ocean, then turn left or right and you have a kilometers long beach walk. Again I question your ability to function as a human.

I think he wants to get exercise without picking up Aids and syphilis.

What do you consider expensive? The gym I go to is Baht 6500 a year and is just over 1 year old and very well fitted out.

In western countries, and even Norway who is considered to be a high cost country you find gyms starts at less than 1000,- baht a month and up to 2 000 +++ depending on flexible membership and included all facilities and services.

Thailand for a decent gym you pay 2k and up

And I forgot, if you are member of a chain (most bigger gyms are part of a chain), you can exercise everywhere you go in Norway within the same chain and no extra cost.

The more expensive the bigger the widows - so that they can see potential clients coming from a long way off?

Your gym sounds  nice but I don't want to train with the "riff raff " thanks very much

I don't use my gym much unless it's empty. I don't like breathing others people's air. One guy huffs and puffs and I feel like I'm breathing the guy in if I work out while he is in there.

Also full of cavemen, best avoided

Tie a skateboard to your mop. Add a few weights and there you go. Mop all up and down beach road.

Might even impress a few girls and get lucky as well.

If you didn’t understand the comparison about prises vs the «west» and Thailand as discussed in the topic, then

A lot of people here need the a/c for anything and everything. They are not fresh air people.

I don't blame you. When the huffer puffer guy works out without his shirt on it makes one wonder. Remember, there's a/c in there. Let's just say I don't drop the soap or get too friendly. Best case scenario is that he is trying to impress himself.

Maybe you are the Riff Raff? Everyone in my gym are nice people
