as long as he is in a regular cell great, not in some special cell that has all his required luxuries. Better yet he doesnt survive it and becomes worm food or kept in a little jar of ashes on a shelf

Is Tony going to serve a one year sentence or  his well paid fill in?

And how many generals have been charged with holing illegal military coups, AND been punished.

NONE, Not even a slap on the wrist, a wai or a 500 baht fine.

Yet they stole the entire country, the Treasury and the so called "Justice Departments" amongst them.

Thaksin and Yingluck were both overthrown in an illegal military coup, yet they have both been punished in courts owned by the military. The generals have never been punished any ANY court.

Wow, sour grapes in the extreme.

Guess that you now need a new mass murderer to follow drool over.

Thaksin Shinawatra has been taken into custody by the Bangkok Remand Prison following a Supreme Court order. On September 9, 2025, the warden and other prison officials made sure that all procedures followed official rules. Thaksin, sentenced to one year, was processed through the standard procedures for new inmates as per the Department of Corrections guidelines.

The Department of Corrections confirmed that Thaksin was transferred to the Bangkok Remand Prison where standard operating procedures (SOPs) were applied. The process included verifying his identity with the court order, creating his inmate record, conducting a search to prevent prohibited items, and a health check-up. Thaksin was also informed of the prison rules and regulations before being assigned to the initial holding area for further classification.

By 17:30, Thaksin was moved to Klong Prem Central Prison since he is considered a convicted prisoner. As this prison is designated as a central hub during trial periods, his transfer was necessary for proper inmate classification and management. The Department assured that Thaksin’s handling adhered strictly to legal mandates and operational standards associated with prisoner management.

Key Takeaways

  • Thaksin Shinawatra was jailed as per a Supreme Court decision.
  • Standard operating procedures were strictly followed by officials.
  • Thaksin was moved to Klong Prem Central Prison for category management.

I hope they took his mobile phone?

And notebook, and demanded and cancelled full details of any internet access to an internet provider located in Dubai and any international VPN he holds.

Wonder what lunch was today in his Klong Pem section?

Yes, if it stops another genocide by the square headed liar, then yes.

Innocent lives are more important than one self-serving narcissist.

What genocide are you talking about is my first question.

My second question is, do you know anything at all about ANY genocide in Thailand?

Is the UN involved?

Have any Genocide scholars EVER reported about genocide in Thailand?

coups d'état are inherently illegal acts because they involve the illegal and often violent seizure of executive power from a lawful government. While successful coups may attempt to justify their actions by altering legal systems to legitimize their power, the act of overthrowing a government outside constitutional or legal processes remains illegal under established definitions

but there are some "Good" coups 2 example

Portugal's Carnation Revolution (1974): a cohesive group of military officers engineered the removal of the rightist Estado Novo regime, which had ruled under an authoritarian model. The Carnation Revolution resulted both in the domestic democratization of Portugal but also in a decolonization process that replaced the aggressive suppression campaigns mounted by the Estado Novo against resistance movements in Mozambique and Angola.

Mali's deposition of head of state Moussa Traore (1991): the commander of the presidential bodyguard, Amadou Toumani Toure, arrested and deposed Traore following a violent crackdown on anti-regime protestors that claimed up to 300 lives and alienated senior members of the military. Toure promised a transition to democracy and, although heading an unelected military-led transitional government, ultimately made good on the promise. Multiparty democracy was restored by 1992 and the election of Alpha Konare, who had been, at varying points, a minister under Traore and an opposition leader, marked a clear change of regime.

under established definitions it is a very hard question  its mainly peoples opinions  good or bad  now if you are talking payut coup again he help thailand get back on track, some say he did good some say he was no good widely different opinions  hard question to answer

The Dangrek genocide, also known as the Preah Vihear pushback, is a border incident which took place along the Dangrek Mountain Range on the Thai-Cambodian border which resulted in the death of many mostly Sino-Khmer refugees who were refused asylum by the Kingdom of Thailand in June 1979.

are you talking about massacres  or  genocide

Thailand where business partner with the Khmer Rouge

OK, I used genocide when I should have said mass murder of innocents.

If my memory serves me correctly, the UN did condemn Thaksin's crimes against humanity.

At the end of the day, I don't think that the families of those innocents killed under Thaksin's orders are really bothered how their murders are labelled.

They were innocent and they were murdered for the sake of one man's political ambitions.

I got a good laugh out of it, just because it's such a ridiculous opinion that they are apparently being totally serious about.

Ridiculous opinion?

Are you denying that the Tak Bai massacre or that Thaksin's war on drugs occurred.

I'm pretty sure that the victim's families are pleased that you are able to get a laugh out of this.

Well well. A sort of retraction.

Now can you explain why Thaksin was never charged with this crime?

How many people did Thaksin actually, physically "murder" himself.

If Thaksin, as you claim. ordered the killing, then there would be either a paper trail or a verbal trail that can be followed. either of which is called evidence and can be used in a court of law against the accused.

however AFAIK, Thaksin was never charged with the alleged crime, and I am sure that even back then, Thaksin had enemies who would love to have brought him down, yet nothing happened.

So you are claiming the Thaksin ordered the murders of many people, yet you provide no evidence or link to back up your claim.

Why would I or anyone else believe you?

Why would I deny that Tak Bai (did you forget Krue Se) I do wish that you would not put your words in my mouth

Tak bai was done by the army or did you not know that?
