I don't see where any shell, casing,  was left behind. Only one bullet was fired and of course it cannot be checked for any inscriptions if it's either not found, or has mushroomed. This is what Reuters said about what was left behind.............Officials also released video of a man climbing down off the roof from where the sniper fired the fatal round. That person left a palm imprint and other DNA materials on the building as he dropped down to the ground, Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said..  ..............A preliminary report said ammunition was left with the rifle that might be engraved with messages but it wasn't verified.

I find it interesting that with the multiple photos released of the alleged shoot at the campus and in the stairwells leading to the roof there is no rifle present. There hasn't been any photos released showing him leaving with a gun either to my knowledge although a claim he jumped from the back of the building.  If he planted a gun ahead of time there should be camera footage showing that.

 

At the distance the shooter was firing from and the fact he was able to pick a location ahead of time to give vantage to hit a man under a tent and surrounded by other people moving about suggests someone very knowledgeable with shooting. Well unless Lee Harvey Oswald suddenly reincarnated himself.

I got a ticket (not arrested) from a game warden once...I had shot a doe (female deer) on private property. It was the one day out of the year called "doe day". I had hunting license & had no idea it was "Doe Day", so I HAULED ASS thru the Florida swamps....hunting on on Grandma Doris' land. Anyhow Florida WIldlife Commission (FWC =Game Wardens = State officers) chased me. 

 

I ran thru the jungle/swamps of Florida. I KNEW them woods & navigated by the sun & my wristwatch. I made 5 miles to a friends house...they had a helicopter hunting me....Only thing I had done wrong was to run away....I was young & STUPID!

I made it to a friend's house & got a ride to my place 30 miles away. Then the phone rang. Grandma Doris had pimped me out!

I had to meet the game warden & the park Ranger at a public place. Long story short I was dragging the doe across State property when the State Park Ranger saw me.

 

1- Possession of a firearm on a State Wildlife Refuge.

2- Resisting or opposing arrest without violence.

 

I made my court date, and I could not make this up...the Judge's name was LAW.

Big honking placard that said "The Honorable Judge Law".

He issued me a $90 ticket on each count & said "NEXT CASE!"

 

I scurried away as fast as I could (before he changed his mind).

 

Have not broken any laws since then.

I did what I call an hypocrisy search. I decided to see how some right wingers on aseannow.com reacted to the assault on Nancy Pelosi's husband. You know, when the attacker told investigators that he couldn't find Nancy Pelosi, he attacked her husband instead. Unfortunately, the aseannow database isn't accessible that far back. So, instead, I searched for how right wingers reacted to the sentencing of the attacker. Not one of them could resist in using it to make statements that essentially said what goes around comes around or libeling her husband. Or both. There’s a lot of self-righteousness and sanctimony here, where folks are claiming progressives are rejoicing about this guy’s demise. Well, I’m not one who spends any amount of time in the fever swamps of the far right, so I barely knew who he was. That’s probably how most non-rightists view him, if they even heard of him. I’d seen his name, but nothing made me curious enough to read articles about whatever it was he did or said.

 

If I had been shown two pictures of guys on Tuesday, asking me to pick out Charlie Kirk, I would have had a 50% chance of guessing right. If told he made his name as a country singer or starred on The Real Housewives of Little Rock, I’d have had no reason to disbelieve.

 

I had no ill will toward him nor did I rejoice over his demise, because he meant nothing to me. I think his killing is horrific, but otherwise my concern is that some people will use this as an excuse to gun down others. Since it’s America, I suspect somebody will.

Are you having problem with CNN reporting the inscriptions as cultural phrases? Transgender and facsism are cultural issues. What you think they are? I don't see any obfuscation in the CNN report and the report fully subscribed to the 5Cs of good effective news writing. I only see a over reacting and gaslighting from your post.

Quite a bit of different reporting what actually took place when hubby was 'attacked', and hard to believe the MSM spin on it.   Not that I believe anything the MSM states any more, and don't even bother reading it, unless posted here on AN, and usually ignore it here.

 

But did read a couple conflicting reports of the 'hubby attack' and something seemed very off, as even PoPo couldn't get their story straight.

 

That aside, there is no justification for some of the comments on AN, when someone is killed for simply having a different opinion than someone else.  

Looking at the new images of the suspect, his shirt suggests he's rather pro-gun. I did read a few stories last week that said the far right gun types were outraged that anybody would talk about banning even trans people from owning guns. They view any restriction---trans, wifebeaters, felons---as the first step toward confiscation. A predominant community in the State of Utah has many people rabidly pro-2nd Amendment. Even the NRA came out against banning trans gun ownership.

 

Let's wait until the killer is caught and see what his motivations and ideology actually are, rather than make assumptions that it had to be someone on the left. The US is home to all sorts of crazies on both sides of the political spectrum, particularly at the extremes.
