There is no evidence he tried to kill him, and he was not convicted or attempted murder. If he wanted to kill him, why did he show up with a hammer? He could well be a right-wing loon, but an assassin he was not. 

 

In any event, he's in for 30 to life, and I hope he never gets paroled. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Understandably videos of what actually he actually said in his life are all over the net now.

I was somewht familiar with him before and it was already clear to me that his political views were disgusting and vile.

Now that has been greatly amplified in my mind.

No justification of course for murder or violence OF COURSE.

But the fact that he has now been made into a right wing saint and martyr and used as a justification of a new kind of McCarthyism to attack basic FREE SPEECH for Americans is incredibly dangerous.

We have the DOJ sounding like the East German Stasi -- turn in your friends, coworkers, and neighbors for SPEECH and get them fired!

I do not remember you getting worked up when people were getting beat up outside of Trump events or walking down the street with a MAGA hat on. 

 

Remember Maxine Waters calling for Trump cabinet members and supporters to be harassed in restaurants, in supermarkets and in gas-o-line stations?

 

Remember Hakeem Jeffries saying, "We're Going to Fight Trump's agenda in the courts and in the streets"? Rember the video with him holding the baseball bat? 

 

Remember the calls for ICE agents to be unmasked such that they and their families could be harassed and or assaulted? 

 

I just do not remember you being outraged about any of this.
