90 Days - After returning to the Kingdom

Featured Replies

Hi

Changwattana Immigration.  The 1st 90-day report upon returning to the kingdom has to be done in person.  Is it 14 or 15 days in advance of the notification date?

I'm trying to do both my annual visa renewal and the 90-day on the same day via online bookings.

Thanks

Window opens 15 days prior to due date.

You can do 90 report in person + annual extension on same visit.

Note you make appointment for extension in a time slot then make another appointment for the 90 report

Extension first followed by report.

Allow 90min gap.

When was reentry date?

Here is appointment link.

@DrJack54 When was reentry date?  Its ok, I wasn't sure if 14 or 15 days.   The 90-day reporting is being done on a different floor at Changwattana, but same building as the main Immigration?

One floor up very near the current office. Lots of signs to direct you. It is very organized. I was impressed.

Yes as pointed out by @marin.

L3 straight above main L2 office.

I'm actually doing my extension and reentry permit both with appointments obviously same day in Oct.

I booked the reentry permit for time slot 90 mins after extension appointment.

Note: appointments only open 30 days in advance and mostly only few slots to choose from for extension.

For stuff like 90 report there are heaps available.

@DrJack54     Thanks for the replies. Im hoping to do 90 days first, then annual extension and then ReEntry permit

@DrJack54 why would I have to do the extension first?  Would the 90 day notification lapse at the end of my current Visa?

@DrJack54 your assistance is appreciated but please do it in a polite way.

In two different posts I have advised to do the extension first.

You ask why.

I could ask why do you need/want to do report first.

Do what you want.

As stated.. The report lady will direct you to extension desk and return after you have the extension.

Not a big deal.. She will accept you next in line when you return (after extension)

I suggest step

1. Find slot for extension and book.

2. Book either report or reentry permit next.

For the extension allow 90 mins till appointment for eg 90 report

and only 30 min more till reentry permit.

I actually asked when was reentry to calculate due date hence report window in person and also extension expiry would then be possible to check appointment slots.

Last week I booked extension for Oct 8. There was 3 or 4 different days available that's all.

Edit: just checked available slots for extension.

Nothing in September. Only two slots in October.

See attachment.

Best get a wriggle on

At some immigration offices, your 90-day status may be 'reset' at extension time. CW is not one of those offices. Your 90-day report status has nothing to do with an extension renewal. Best to consider them separate deals, one having nothing to do with the other.

@DrJack54 has correctly advised you. If you tried to do the 90-day report with a current extension near it's expiry, you'll be directed to do the extension and then return.

Now, if you didn't have to do the report in person (if you had not traveled out-of-country) online reporting of the 90-dayer with an extension nearing expiry, can be successful, it's happened for me in the not-so-far past.

So make your appointments in that order; extension first, 90-day second. This is for CW.

Perfectly correct.

Year or so ago at CW I made appointment for report followed by extension.

The io at 90 report sent me off to do the the extension first.

Afterwards realized I was wrong.

Felt silly actually

On the positive side ..after the extension approval the 90 report desk lady nodded and saw me straight away.

They can be nice.

Yep, same here, after the extension I returned to the 90-day IO's cubicle and was taken care of when she finished up business with the 'customer' at her desk.

Bit off topic ...but folk dealing with CW be aware that appointments for various needs, eg 90 report, reentry permits, etc work like Japanese Rail.

You can even now book appointment for COR (previously not available)

Note: with appointment print out (hard copy) appointment details
