A 34-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the neck by a co-worker at a factory in Bang Pu Industrial Estate, Samut Prakan, on 14 September 2025. Emergency services were alerted at 17.00, after the injured man had been taken to the hospital by colleagues. Despite medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries, prompting police involvement.

The victim, Mr Natthaphon Ahanad and the suspect, Mr Weerawit, 31, both worked in the same department. Earlier in the day, the two reportedly had a series of disputes over exchanging hostile glances. The tension escalated during the afternoon, culminating in the stabbing incident as Mr Natthaphon walked to clock out for the day.

Eyewitnesses reported that Mr Weerawit approached the victim and used a folding knife to stab him in the neck, causing him to collapse in front of colleagues. Following the attack, the suspect reportedly approached security personnel, stating, “I will come back, have the police wait at the factory,” before leaving the premises. He later returned and surrendered to authorities.

Police from Bang Pu Police Station took Mr Weerawit into custody. He has been charged with homicide and will be formally processed through the legal system. Authorities continue to review the incident and are gathering statements from witnesses and colleagues.

Kill..kill..kill.. allways the solution in Thailand. They must be missing something in the brain that other people have.

Fex a stop button.

How on earth did he manage to survive in society and hold down a job till 31 and then go from 0 to 100 and kill somebody over "hostile glances"?

It happened long before that.. only it seems now it has gotten worse.

Thailand has a murder rate (2023) of about 4.1/100,000.  World median is about 5.6/100,000 so surprisingly still in the lower half.  Singapore and Japan are lowest on the list.  US higher than Thailand at 5.7/100,000, UK much lower at 1.2/100,000

I was surprised to see some Caribbean Islands at the top of the list: Turks & Caicos at 76.6/100,000   ST. Vincent & Grenadines 42/100,000 about the same as South Africa.
