Locked out of almost everything

Featured Replies

As I posted before, now I have 'new' lap top, I created a new email but, not only am I locked out of Netflix, Expatfoods, Lazada, now I can't watch YouTube as a guest, even this site is not appearing in my latest email i.e. today, I have reset my password so many times I can't remember the last one, and even if I make a new one I'll still be locked out. I spoke to Lazada who walked me through signing in again, No it just does not work.

Must be the Russians 🤣

Luckily I can still watch YouTube on my lap top, nothing is making sense   :post-4641-1156694572:

How many browsers have you tried?

Have you rebooted your router and PC?

Are you running any ad blocking extensions?

Did you run a speed test?

Are you running a VPN?

Have you tried the laptop with a different ISP?  Eg. take it to a bar and use their WiFi, or maybe hot spot your 4G phone to it.

Do the pages load ok on your phone, on your network?

Have you tried a cabled (ethernet cable) connection?

... " I have reset my password so many times I can't remember the last one " ...

to avoid that problem, I take a screenshot of new sign in password, and send it to Gdrive, FB msgr (2nd account, wife, kid), photo to phone, so I have in various places, in case getting locked out of any one device.

Saved me big time once, as got locked out, and MS was telling me to go to link to verify in my yahoo mail, then I was locked out of that, and yahoo telling me to go to my MS outlook for verifying link... WTF :cheesy:

phone & SMS options of both, not working ... useless options.

As I said, I can view You tube on my lap top and another tv in the house my, all this happened when my computer crashed and I had to make a new email, none will recognize my new email, believe me I have tried, sooo many times luckily I can still email 'Expat Foods' who manage to sort it and sent my order, even though I'm not signed in. Lazada is the one I miss most.

Just throw that Windows machine away and get a MacBook.

No need to throw the machine away - just ditch Windows and install Linux Mint.  No guarantees this would cure your problems but worth a try and will cost you nothing but a bit of your time.

Can you access Lazada on a browser on your phone, not their app?

Becoz I had to get a new PC and couldn't access anything  that was on my old one , including my old email address and all the other sites I had bookmarked.

It's still unclear as to why you cannot use your old email address @brian69 Have you forgotten the password?

Other than that...when you state 'crashed', what does that actually mean? HDD/SSD failure?

I guess when the old laptop crashed it was open on my email, Crashed Means it completely stopped working and was unable re-start.../charge and anything else you can think of, a bit like when you crash a vehicle and it a complete write off. what can't you understand about that? 🙄

Your laptop/phone/PC or whatever is only the portal for your email address on distant servers. It doesn't reside on your device.

Therefore your email account is still valid thru another device or your new laptop. So you are obviously not to knowledgeable in this area.

@brian69 The poster above has covered the part about your email. That we don't understand why you cannot use the same email address.

Secondly, about the 'crashing', we don't know if the storage drive still works. If so, you may be able to retrieve information from it.

Hence the request for more detailed information.

"If so, you may be able to retrieve information from it. " and I do that HOW ?   I can not get it repaired on Koh Chang you can't even buy a new one here.

You are completely wrong, it is NOT valid on my new device otherwise I'd be using it DOH !

Ok smarty tell what is the domain name of your email address eg: gmail, hotmail   and then maybe you get better suggestions.

@brian69 Nothing of what you are writing makes any sense, but it's obvious that you cannot explain it any better.

So let's assume that you are referring to a Microsoft account, used to sign into Windows 10 on your laptop. There is nothing to stop you from using the same sign in on a new device...unless you have forgotten your password. Crashing has nothing to do with it. The Microsoft account has nothing to do with Lazada, Netflix etc unless you used the same email address as your Microsoft account...and have forgotten your password.

So, what is it? Try to explain step by step without getting mad. Explain exactly what the email address has to do with anything and everything.

yahoo.com

yahoo.com

So you are saying if you open Yahoo.com website on your phone, ipad, PC or a new laptop and type in your original email address (not the new one you have apparently opened), that it doesn't open, or you can't see or a message comes up?. or?

Please remember what I said before..a Yahoo email account has nothing to with your computor, as it's website based.

@brian69 It would help if we knew the exact model of laptop. Often you can just remove the drive and place it into a external enclosure. Such as this one: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/orico-25-inch-hdd-case-sata-to-usb-30-hdd-enclosure-external-hd-case-for-7-95mm-hdd-ssd-disk-case-hard-drive-box-support-uasp-2521u3-i1943170051-s10864233296.html

From there, Browser profiles and data should be retrievable.

As has been stated, a Yahoo email address is not attached to any device. It can be used anywhere. So the question remains, why did you have to open a new one? Have you forgotten the password?
