What he calls "the left" isn't even close (yet) to the wanton violence committed by the racist, fascist right.

 

Now his first mistake (OP) is using the term "left". A much more accurate term for those left of center in the time of Trump is "true American patriots", which is to say people who cherish and champion the actual ideals of the United States of America: Freedom. Freedom of Speech. Freedom of the Press. Freedom of Assembly.

 

The fascists (a much more fitting name for those right of center in the time of Trump) hate the US Constitution. They hate free speech, a free press, freedom of assembly (aka, peaceful protest). Search and seizure laws. Miranda rights. The fascists hate all of those. The racist fascists also take out their hate of non-white people, such as the Trumper Patrick Crusius, and also against non-Talibangicals, such as Robert Bowers who shot up a synagogue. The fascist stormtrooper cowards, who have been hired to play Brown Shirts, aka ICE, engage in violence even against peaceful protesters, shooting tear gas, rubber bullets, etc., at people engaging in their Constitutional right to protest peacefully.

 

The patriots have a big tent and let in even those who, in better times, would be the traditional right of center ideologues. Here's an example. In a case between a peaceful patriotic American protestor and the fascist stormtroopers known as ICE, a Federal District judge appointed by Ronald Reagan wrote this:

It was heartening to hear the comments from star officers who were forced to sit through the inanity and bizarre drivel spouted by the drunkard Hegseth and the demented and truly delusional Trump. I suppose most of these men and women already knew they were being led by Carnival People who cater to the lowest level of brainpower in society, and undoubtedly in their liaison with their counterparts in allied countries they have discussed the absurdity and danger that is MAGA. They saw it firsthand on Tuesday. Because none is bound by Article 88 of the UCMJ, they can say what they want, and what many have said is that the path Trump is trying to take the US down is NOT the USA to which they swore an oath. It is instead the epitome of what many have spent their careers fighting against.

 

No one in the US military is under any obligation to follow an illegal order. We shall see many refuse to follow the fascist wishes of the cowardly and demented President. There is no enemy within, save for at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. That man---who all the star and flag officers who know Gen Kelly believe Trump called the dead and wounded of the military "suckers and losers", and a man who had no clue what the USS Arizona Memorial was when he and Gen Kelly were on a Pearl Harbor launch to pay respects to---is against everything the star and flag officers believe. That man is unworthy of the sacrifice of any true American patriot.

 

Trump put another nail in his own coffin with his rambling speech, referred to by the former Chief of the US Air Force as "unhinged, bizarre and dangerous". No one who has served the true ideals of the United States has any respect for the bone spurs coward and dictator wannabe. His days are numbered by his ill health and clear cognitive decline. His movement is dying because real American patriots know better.
