Trump tariffs live updates: Trump’s $900 billion tariff relief deals faces Japan, South Korea pushback

President Trump's trade deals with Asian allies are under threat after South Korea said Washington's terms were unrealistic and Japan hinted that their agreement may need to be reviewed.

“We are not able to pay $350 billion in cash,” South Korea’s National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac said. “It is objectively and realistically not a level we are able to handle.”

Seoul and Washington agreed in July to a $350 billion investment pledge as part of a trade deal to lower US tariffs to 15% from 25%. A similar pledge made by Japan worth $550 billion also remains unclear.

And then, TACO! 🙂

Blackmailing allies, art of the deal indeed. What an utter embarrassment this pathetic clown is.

The Tiktok deal he has been bragged about for a few weeks now, is also still not confirmed by China. Wonder why that is.

He didnt actually do that deal it was done under Biden and was suppose to go into effect at the end of January but trump bumped it along. Then like he usually does he want to take credit for the deal and seems to have f'd it up.

Biden blocked TikTok.

Trump claims he has sold it to US investors for about 20% of the real value. China so far has refused to confirm the sale

Under Trump, US cedes its share of China's beef market to Australia

CANBERRA/CHICAGO (Reuters) -Australian beef has replaced U.S. supply in China since President Donald Trump returned to the White House, funnelling hundreds of millions of dollars that have in previous years gone to the U.S. cattle industry into Australian pockets.

U.S. shipments to China, worth around $120 million a month, collapsed after Beijing in March allowed permits to expire at hundreds of American meat facilities and as Trump unleashed a tit-for-tat tariff war.

The value of U.S. beef sent to China fell to just $8.1 million in July and $9.5 million in August, Chinese trade data showed, compared to $118 million and $125 million in the same months a year earlier.

check that.

Biden blocked TikTok and then worked out the sales deal to the USA with the stipulation that the sale had to be enforced by end of Jan under Trump. Trump postoned the enforcement date.

It's always the same story with these people.
