Hi, would like to get some good indian food in a nice ambiente.

While searching, I found three restaurant which seem to fulfill what I am looking for:

Rang Mahal (http://hotel.rembrandtbkk.com/dining/rang_mahal.html)

Indus (http://www.indusbangkok.com/)

Hazara (http://www.facebars.com/bg/hazara.htm)

However, I could't find any information about the prices. Without wine, around what do I have to think of for a meal for two? I mean, just average, not the most fancy food. Are there big differences between the three restaurants?

I think, Rang Mahal is still the best and also the most expensive one, right? Any other recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

I was in Rang Mahal 2 weeks ago and for food and atmosphere and stunning views its hard to beat, however as you alluded too its on the expenive side and for a set meal for two it will run you 1800baht+but imho well worth it!!

the one next to lumpini stadium near the night bazar has a sweet little room you can book thats perfect for two. the room is to the left from the entrance. if you eat with another person it will cost you around 1200. (2 starters, 2 main and some other stuff lassis...)

Indus is a cool little joint, price about 1000b++ w/out drinks for two. Although, you should really have the lamb rogan gosh, which will add to the bill. It's not, however, the bee's knees. If you've got the cash, Hazara would be the one.

Whenever we go to Thailand, we always make a visit to an Indian Restaurant Called Mrs Babir inside Sukhumvit Soi 11 / 1, The food there is as good as any Indian Restaurant we have been to, Well Worth A Visit.

Went to Indus last week... didn't rate it to be honest, quite expensive, food was very 'ordinary' and i'm not keen on the whole 'waiter hovering on your shoulder through out the whole meal' thing.

in fact, i'd recommend India Today over Indus to be honest

Rang Mahal is a fancy place, best for special occasions.

I like the India Cafe, across from The Trocedero Hotel, Surawong Street. The oldest Indian restaurant in Bangkok?

The Indians I know rave about India Hut, same area.
