Yeah ^^^, as noted Madam's is working too.

I did get the "come and have your photo taken" message a few days back but I assumed it was just for the over 50k transactions.

Maybe this is an "encouragement". Once madam has put some clothes on we will visit the bank.

UPDATE

Well that was rediculously easy (really it was).

With all the talk of locked accounts etc. I was a bit alarmed, my visa money is in one of the SCB accounts. I do have two other bank accounts and I tested at the ATM on the way in so we weren't going to starve.

The pretty lady at the bank poked the app a bit and it all now works. She did say if it does it again just off and on the phone (the default solution for technology issues).

Also did the face thing whilst there, also dead easy, no blinking, smiling, standing on one leg or whatever (compared with Bangkok Bank which was maddening).

In and out in less than 30 mins including Madam getting a replacement ATM card for her account.

FYI...

SCB and UOB bank apps will detect and wont work with VPN.

BBL and KBank apps can use VPN, no problem.

Pretty sure I did the face thing a few months ago at SCB when I updated my passport details, because I remember the woman using an iPad to do it. But I still got the message last week  to go in and do it again.

Thanks.

I've never actually tried a VPN because both SCB and BBL work fine from overseas anyway, at least the places I've tried from that is.

Same, Bangkok Bank are a complete PITA

400kbht of mine now locked with them for the next 4 months for wanting an Immigration letter. It's not as if I need access to it, but it's my bloody money!

Well, the SCB app did it again when I was paying in the bottle shop. No problem I paid with the Bangkok Bank app.

Back to SCB.

I discovered that if you long-tap the icon you get a drop down with quick links to common functions.

If you use one of those links to enter it seems to fix the issue and things work normally. I think this is actually what the lady in the bank did, she certainly didn't restart my phone.

Me neither, I was trying to emulate what the lady in the bank did.
