Yes, because had the Reform council raised the council tax by a further 0.011% they would have had to hold a referendum on the raise. “The 4.989% is within the 5% threshold, and therefore does not require the County Council to hold a referendum.” Copy DOGE didn’t deliver.

So, its not really a price rise , just keeping up with inflation . I expect that ALL Councils will be having similar increases
October 6, 2025Oct 6 Previous councils have probably pi ssed money up the wall, can't get that back, so will take years to improve things, at least they are trying rather than just BAU
