Disagree 30,000 kilometers within every 12 months from the date of purchase is enough for majority of people

That's 250km a month. Are you sure? 🤣

And you can't even transfer to new owner.

Lets say you drove 1,000 km in a month, then oh craap you realize you going to loose lifetime warranty, ok can't drive the car. Let's take a taxi.

🤣🤣 LOL. hahaha

This will be "fake news" to some EV owners on here

  • I have multiple EV for many years.   buying Ev is better now a days, but still the corporations are screwing customers.  From my experience, the advertised range is completely BS for almost every

2,500 km X 12 = 30,000 km

250 km X 12 = 3,000 km

yup - Maths was out (just a brain fart moment) - but the non-transference of warranty is a showstopper.

Why would they even do that - what difference does it make to BYD if the car ownership changes ?

That would cause the second hand value to drop incredibly - so much so, new buyers must surely see this as a big no-no...

Byd lifetime battery warranty is for China only

Neta Thailand did offer similar lifetime battery warranty with similar conditions 30,000km per year and 1st owner only

https://thereporter.asia/eng/2024/06/neta-v-ii-smart-choice-offering-lifetime-battery-warranty/#:~:text=The NETA V-II

Majority of EV brands have no concerns about car values once the car leaves the dealership as huge price reductions have a knock on effect for both 1st and 2nd car buyers and insurance companies reduce capital values when these price reductions are applied

Very few would void that warranty, as 80+ kms a day, every day of the year.   Another silly excuse for a what if scenario from the haters.

Intelligent people actually read their warranty, and have not issues.  Falls under ... "don't be an idiot, and not know what you're buying"

Sorry. Brain math wasn't working and missed one zero.

30,000 a month is indeed definitely enough for most people.

The non transfer and those other silly subscriptions might be the catch.

It's the Chinese EV manufacturing companies that are to blame and are notorious for awful and indifferent after-sales service, maintenance, and sourcing of parts, plus how expensive it is... basically, they don't care, which is very Chinese. I would never buy one of those piles of manure masquerading as a future solution to motoring. Not only that, there are something like a over a hundred Chinese EV companies and 95% of them will fail... like NETA has. Even just on principle, I wouldn't give my money to some state owned/subsidized Chinese company due to the crimes of the CCP... need to stop that, which I know is hard in general, but easy with a car purchase.

Why would you want a Chinese EV from a company that is likely to/has gone/will go bankrupt? Maybe you would, but I wouldn't. I might buy a non-Chinese EV in like 10-15 years when it has all shaken out, but not now, no way.

What can we deduce about @Sir Dude from this post?

We know he has never owned a Chinese EV:

We also know that he claims to be an expert in Chinese EVs based on his extensive experience of never actually owning one.

What we have here is a classic case of the dunning-kruger effect.

I love most of the piles of manure coming from China 😄 looks better than most German and American (except for the mustang) cars, not even say Japanese.

Happy to spend my money with Chinese made, my current car is Chinese next car will be Chinese again.

and the "crimes of the CCP", what crimes ? 😂
